walking a mile in the shoes of someone you dislike is actually kinda awesome because not only are you now a mile away from that idiot but you also have their shoes
"all you ever do is complain" that's not true. I also resent.
and love..........
I added pictures to try and explain the cartoon better!

you can make most fandom drama disappear with this one cool trick
GET THE FUCK OFF TWITTER
I've seen some posts trying to make fun of former gifted kids by comparing them to former student athletes who insist that they could have gone pro if not for a specific injury, and those posts always backfire, because my reaction to them is "You're right, we should treat former student athletes with more compassion than we currently do"
I went from being very physically active to getting the "your body doesn't make energy properly anymore" disability so I can completely understand the grief that comes with circumstances outside your control destroying parts of you you were once proud of and locking you out of the life you could have had. It's not a good feeling.
There's also something to be said about the student athlete whose life is laid out for them through the pathway of athletics and then suddenly has that taken away. A high school injury eliminating the scholarship opportunity or full ride to a college of their choice. A college injury eliminating the career option they spent YEARS working toward. That they likely didn't prepare an alternative for because it was Guaranteed. Now suddenly they're stranded and have to figure out that alternative. And perhaps even lacking support in doing so. "It's a shame they were injured. They could have been something."
you're a stupid fucking anti-sjw lol. This blog is stupid. I hate you crackers white people SUCK go suck a dick.
looks like I triggered more sjws. Keep sending these asks they only fuel my logic.
Never forget the guy who didn’t remember to hit anon before sending himself hate mail
Love that we’re still dragging the poor fuckers corpse around years later so no one ever forgets their shameful mistake lol
the other thing about Internet dogpiling is that it is just not possible to think clearly during the acute stages. it’s so easy to criticize people for responding defensively or tactlessly to mass criticism but I cannot overstate the degree to which your brain becomes a rat in a trap. I think we do have to temporarily recalibrate our expectations in these circumstances and accept that they do not necessarily represent how that person responds to criticism. the skills for self-regulating and reacting to normal interpersonal criticism are not the same skills needed to respond to viral callouts.
For my 12th birthday, my parents took me to Washington DC because I was a huge nerd and I wanted to see the elephant shrews at the national zoo and I wanted to visit the Smithsonian. It was a terrible trip. Unbeknownst to me, my mother had recently found out my father was cheating on her, my (now lifelong) depression was beginning to kick in, my mom and I came down with a terrible cold at the beginning of the week and the vibes in the hotel room were miserable. I was so unhappy I cried. Walking around museums is a lot less fun when your nose is running like a faucet and you’re so tired and you want to go to bed but that means you’ll be trapped in a room with your parents who hate each other. To top it all off, the small mammal house at the national museum was CLOSED. All suffering, no shrews. Still haven’t seen an elephant shrew in person and I’m 25.
There was a group of 5 or 6 middle aged Japanese men staying in the same hotel as us. I don’t know if this was a boy’s trip or if they were there on business and working hard while they were playing hard but they were having a GREAT time. We kept bumping into them because we were staying in the same hotel and doing a lot of the same touristy activities and they seemed to be having the time of their lives every time we saw them. They had a visible lust for life I cannot put into words. I had traveled one state over and I was so miserable and just wanted to go home and they had come from across the globe and seemed to be on the trip of a lifetime and it occurred to me that yes, DC is beautiful, America is a vast and interesting place and if I got out of my own head, I could enjoy it in the way they were enjoying it.
This is what the footage of people from abroad exploring America during the World Cup has made me think of, I need to get out of my depressed 12 year old boy incapable of experiencing joy mindset, you have to love the place and people around you to want to help.
YOU have got to get in that Scottish guy experiencing Boston for the first time mindset, you have got to summon that 50 year old Japanese man in DC with 5 of his closest friends type of love for the world.

its actually easy to de-enshittify your digital experience all you need to do is install this browser extension and this browser extension and this browser extension and input this custom script into the advanced box and go into your system settings and reconfigure all these options you didnt know existed and change your entire workflow and switch to this alternative operating system and this alternative web browser and this alternative chat client and this alternative word processor and this alternative- sorry that one turned out to be malware delete that one okay now double check your task manager for unwanted background processes and element block these ads and invest in a good VPN and append all your searches with AI blocking keywords and wait a few years until everything you just did becomes shitty too so you can do it all over again okay kitten. its literally that easy.
every time a young gay person quits smoking or makes the decision that they want to quit, the sun shines on us all with the promise of happiness and beauty.
i appreciate everybody that’s sharing the sentiment that it’s good for anyone to quit smoking (it is) but i very specifically wanted to highlight and encourage LGBTQ youth because lesbian, gay, and bisexual people are about 1.5 to 2.5 times more likely to smoke cigarettes than heterosexual people, and the statistics for transgender people are even higher than cisgender people. this is due to tobacco companies marketing heavily and aggressively to LGBTQ communities and exploiting the higher rates of mental health struggles prevalent in our communities.
i want and hope to see all my LGTBQ people live long, healthy, fulfilled lives despite how predatory and punishing this world can be. you should stay around as long as you can to make it a little better in your own way.
I wanna specifically shoutout trans men here because back in the day (I don’t know if it’s still prevalent) there was quite a common rumour going around that smoking could make your voice deeper, which meant a huge upstick in young trans men taking up smoking.
So, if any trans men are being told about this, it’s not true!! Smoking will not change your voice, at least not until you’re about forty years down the line and you’ve already irreparably destroyed your lungs and throat and mouth and pretty much every other organ in your body. When you hear heavy smokers with deeper, scratchier voices it is literally because their vocal cords have been ruined. This is not a passive effect of smoking, it is a very very damaging one!
It’s simply not worth it! There will be no meaningful changes except terrible ones. Voice training will do a lot more for you than cigarettes will, I promise that the people urging you to start smoking as a voice training method do not have your best interests at heart!
(And you know what, this also goes for not eating due to the idea that starving yourself will decrease your chest size. Like with smoking, there will be no meaningful changes except terrible ones. Your body is worth so much more than that and there will always be healthier alternatives!)
I wanna see trans people thrive, and one day when things get better and you’re able to start your transition, you’ll want a body that will last as long as possible so you can enjoy every little moment of your life. Please take care of yourself!!
the problem millennials + older have with trying to understand the 67 meme is that they keep trying to compare it to past funny numbers.
listen. 67 is not 69. it's not 420, or 21, or 42.
it's E.
you remember this shit?
it's this. 67 is E.

😟😳😳😳
#idk what this means or if i do this but ig i'll just hold my phone with my pinky stuck out from now on??
Good question, also no that won’t help.
shitty MS Paint 3 minutes doodle, nto entirely accurate: When you have your pinky hooked on the “bottom” edge of the phone for the extra security so it doesn’t slide out of your hand that easily, you’re wreaking damage on your hand, since the pinky is extremely askew from it’s resting position. You might have noticed that when you hold your phone like that for long time it begins to hurt, like when you are gripping a pen too tightly for example.
Green lines - the fingers are going their natural way. Red line - the pinky is way off, that’s bad.
Me: Oh, good thing I never-
Me, looking down at hand: By talos this can't be happening
oh thats why my hadns have started to always be in pain ok
The bubble is nigh.
