i like the summertime because i feel like i am returning to a version of myself that only exists from may–august but she is always the same person each time and i like being her and seeing the world through her eyes again

Sometimes I will catch myself having a favourite character and thinking “I don’t know why I feel connected to them. They’re nothing like me.” and then “I dunno, they’re kinda isolated from the other characters and they have their own way of thinking and they’re a mystery to other people and they’re unexpectedly helpful and they have this one thing that makes them feel whole or that they devote their life to and OH MY GOD IT’S THE AUTISM”
