It's a countdown! #Thursday. 2 weeks to our #pregnancy #yoga course at Holistic Health @holistichealthhackney on @broadwaymarket 7-8pm for 6 weeks: September 7th - October 12th. ✨ Book now! ✨ FEEL This one meant a lot to me, personally, and yet it's one of the most wide-ranging elements of pregnancy, yoga and pregnancy yoga. While it's so important for most of us to share to some degree or another the journey that is pregnancy with others going through it, it's equally vital to know, or to feel, just how individual each pregnancy is. For some, then, this is about grounding their minds a little, to focus through the bodily senses on what's happening. Closing eyes, placing hands on baby's home, breathing deeply and in various ways to be able to tangibly and physically feel as well as visualise the movements in the body can all be so gratifying and grounding. In some birthing preparation exercises, connecting to sensations that are uncomfortable and re-visualising them with anatomical awareness/knowledge can sometimes change the sense of discomfort and even lift it. Yoga is deeply rooted in body - and self -awareness, and this grounding, rooting and alignment with our body is reported very often as one of the positive effects of the practice, along with (and therefore) an ability to focus and 'quieten' the mind. So it's sort of 'all about feeling'! And then there's pregnancy. There is so much to feel! What's more, with every physical sensation, there are possible emotions, also an important part of the process. Perhaps you will feel...
