“We live in unusual times. There is great unrest under the surfaces of all our lives. We are uncomfortable and antsy. We are shifting in our seats: the seats we were strapped into before we knew how the buckles worked. Before we had the motor skills and body strength to hold our backs against the chairs carved for us behind a desk, in a cubical, on the bus that takes the same route day after day.
We were taught that this is just the way it is. That we all have to do it. Our parents did it, their parents did it. Why should we be special? Who are we to buck the system? Yes. They’ll tell you you’re not special. But you are. And so is everybody else. But the difference, my friend, is that you know it. Deep inside you, you feel it.
There has to be more. More fulfillment. More love. More fun. More time. More space. More abundance. More freedom. Deep inside you is something that cannot be tamed, that does not and cannot accept the smallness of ordinary life. Admit it. Not to me. To yourself. Admit that you want more. A lot more. You want it all.
Do you know why? Because you were born from the love of the infinite. And you cannot be anything else but it’s greatness, and you will suffer until you embrace it because there is no greater pain than to feel estranged from your own soul.
Your spirit will never stop demanding it’s expression, and you will never stop grieving if you don’t let it break apart the false limitations under which you live.
Just say yes. Just be willing. Just pay attention. Just entertain, for one holy instant, the possibility that something that seems impossible, isn’t. Just consider, for one holy instant, that something that seems impossible, is inevitable.~
