🐛 - An intense nightmare that made them wake up in a cold sweat
What was that sound coming from outside? It was strange, but part of it sounded familiar in some odd way. Just as he turned to look out the window, he heard Jade's voice call out to him from outside.
"Look!"
The Mage made his way outside to see Jade standing there, strands of her long dark hair carried by a breeze as she looked up into the sky. As he began to follow her gaze, the sound became clearer.
And as it did, realization hit and his heart nearly stopped.
That sound wasn't a sound. It was a song. A song that he had not heard in millennia. A song that was supposed to have been silenced. A song that was supposed to have ended.
"There's angels!"

Light filled the sky as what looked to be celestial beings floated there, ever so slowly descending. The Angels of the Infinite Choir brought with them a corruption: Angeldark. Hence, it was why they were practically wiped out during the Ordeal. How they got here, he couldn't say, but he had to do something.
He kept his eyes on the growing swarm and moved to grab Jade. Any moment spent near them was a moment too much.
"We have to go."
"But why? They're singing..."
"Jade...?"
DJ's eyes turned to look at Jade, who was still facing away from him, but looking up. Looking up at them as they got closer and closer. She turned, the irises of her eyes showing speckles of white in them.
"Aren't they beautiful?"
"N... No..."
He backed away from her as she stepped towards him. As the rest of them began to surround him.
"No...!"
"Why not join them? Join us?"
She reached her arms out towards him, her speech distorting as the Song eventually did to all who heard it. White light began to spill from her eyes...
"Why don't you vpzr smf kpom y̸j̸r̵ ̷o̸m̵g̴o̶m̵o̵y̶r̸ ̷v̸j̷p̵o̷t̸?̶"̸
"NO!!"
He shot up to a sitting position in his bed, sweat dripping from his brow as his left hand reached at his right side for something. In that moment, he began to relax as the situation began to dawn on him. It was dark. He was in his bed. It just a nightmare.
