A whole mess of idiots

Eldrin stood inside the pub, watching for something or someone to appear. Taking a deep breath, he steps outside into the dusk of the night, staring up into the sky.

"Can't tell if I got ruddy information or the trails gone cold..." He grumbles to himself, leaning on a post outside with his hood down to seem inconspicuous.

There was a faint noise, a clattering of some sort that seemed to be approaching. A shuffle of something? No, it was more like-

Eldrin's eyes widened, spotting a group of what seemed to be unrecognizable soldiers heading straight for the pub. He closed his eyes slightly, tilting his head to the sky and hoping they would just pass him by. It'd be too easy for them to accost him if he just 'happened' to be leaving when they got here.
