I am a practitioner of magic with a strong interest in the spiritual and paranormal world around us. This blog is focused on my personal beliefs and my experience with my craft- My worldview is my own, and you may take it or leave it. I do not use a label for my practice as none fit. Understand that some aspects of my belief system are unorthodox, and if you take issue with that take yourself elsewhere instead of pushing your beliefs onto me. You do not have to agree, but you do have to respect me as an equal. This is my space.
I focus on an unrestricted, unlabelled practice with attention to accessibility. You need nothing more than yourself to practice magic.
I try to make everything as legible as I can, even for those who are beginners or have barely interact with magic at all. No matter your skill level if you have your curiosity I will gladly talk- whether it be discussion, advice, or something else.
I read energy and am happy to review and give my insight to anything going on in your life- or even something you found online. It's great fun and keeps my senses sharp, so I welcome you!
Not everything I reblog necessarily reflects my own practice. I admire and appreciate many different methods, even if I don't practice them myself.
New blog, not a new practitioner. I follow from @thueenz

In case you need someone to tell you this, people are going to dislike you and your practice. And there's nothing you can do to categorically avoid that. Sometimes it will be because of something you did or because of disparate views/personalities; sometimes it will be because of their own issues. But you can't stop it.
You can't make yourself small enough or palatable enough to please everyone. So, you should do what feeds your soul. You should build the practice that aligns with you. You should build or seek out the community that uplifts and supports you and fits your personality. Do what makes you you (apply nuance as necessary), and don't worry about what other people think about it. They're not living their life for you, and you don't owe them yours.
Theyβll be a house guardian imbued with little spell pouches and intentions sewn into their very fabric. Theyβll be their own consciousness, not a vessel for a spirit, and theyβll prowl the dream realm gobbling up anything that seeks to harm the residents of my home.
Iβm absolutely in love with them already. (And I donβt even know how Iβll make their body just yetβ¦ Iβll figure it out as I go lmao.) The eyes are resin with glow in the dark stars making their spooky milky 6-eyed gaze. (So they can see through all darkness!) Theyβll look awesome under blacklight! Iβm also planning on making their tail prehensile because why not, and I want to make them weighted so theyβre comforting to hold!
You do not need visualization skills to do energy work, perform magick, be a witch, or anything in between.
Rituals, spirit work, spells, divination, and so on have been practiced through so many other means than just visualization since practically the dawn of humanity. There are four other mundane and psychic senses than just eyesight and clairvoyance that you can utilize.
Raise and direct your energy via movement, your breath, and music. Meditate through automatic writing/drawing, or focus on how energy feels in different locations. Hone your intuition by asking for and noticing observable signs or listening to the voices of spirits and discerning them from your own inner voice.
Visualization is just one of many tools you can potentially use. Not have to.
"Visualize" is, I feel, such a misleading term that most authors are actually using to prompt people to "imagine strongly" or to "call into their mind". And it creates a lot of unnecessary confusion and frustration for those who don't have a visually oriented mind. An experience can be mentally called in in more ways than just strict mental imagery. Imagining experiences through sounds, smells tactile sensation or ever narration can be just as effective means of directing focus.
What are everyone's favourite ways to incorporate a magic routine into the natural events of our world? Like weather, phases of the moon, seasons, etc- The natural occurrences in our world. I'm thinking of developing more of a routine connection with nature and I'm curious to hear other's thoughts, big or small :)

The idea of using a paper doll chain in a spell popped in my head recently so, I decided to do a spell to strengthen intuition using paperβ¨ I folded a strip of paper, drew a humanoid figure, cut it out, and decorated them as moon cyclesπ Then I added a sigil on each one. I also added a bit of protection oil on the strings and tied them to the paper dolls to be able to hang them up. I really like how it came out! I'm planning on putting them on my wall where my desk is because I use that space to journal, do card readings, and creative work.

I just want to remind everyone (esp w summer approaching in the northern hemisphere) that when you are looking for shells on a beach that you are doing so ethically.
Many beaches currently have a shelling ban, meaning if you find one, leave it there. This is because shells greatly impact the coastline ecosystem, offering homes and latching points to many organisms, offering minerals as they break down, and creating sand in the middle of a global sand shortage.
Additionally many countries have bans on taking shells in luggage, even by car. Itβs important that you βknow before you goβ on vacation. You can look up a specific beaches laws prior to your visit, and when in doubt leave shells where they are.
For my witches: I know many posts suggest taking shells home as offerings, esp older sources, however due to the nature of the situation itβs best they are left where they are. Rather than taking them, bless them, skip them closer to the waves as offerings, make fun sigils around them in the sand before they are washed away, honor the species they came from as a muse, charge shells in sunlight or moonlight before placing them back. Ideas are infinite, so depending on what you need them for there are beach equivalents that are ocean friendly!
Finally: please donβt introduce foreign materials into the water systems, buying commercial shells just to put back, adding random crystals to beaches, buying shells from beach shops (unethical to begin with) and trying to put them back. Many of these objects either are not native to the area, or have been treated for craft purposes, or like in the cases of beach stores have been brought from international sources. These shells are no longer beach safe, and risk introducing things into the water ways that donβt belong.
We can respect these beauties from a distance, our water ways need us π
i've been singing since before i could talk apparently, and i think that is why musical magic has been my longest-held practiceβi was doing it before i really identified as a witch, when i was a child. i'm going to describe some simple healing-song methods i've used throughout my lifeβall of these are solitary practices, require no knowledge of instruments, and you do not need to be a good singer at all to utilize these techniques for magical means.

play a plain chord song (or use a piano, or another instrument) and hum along to the note. hum up and down, and individually focus your attention to the sensations in your face, mouth, throat, chest, shoulders, arms, then stomach. if you are familiar, try to harmonize along to the chord. this is a great meditative start for any other musical rituals.
choose songs pertinent to specific spells, and sing them to enchant these workings. when i do this, i try to incorporate a rhythmic body component (dancing, clapping or snapping, rocking back and forth, etc.), as well as starting with some kind of simple meditations or trance-entering practice. when singing, try to lean heavily into the lyrics and song, emotionally, and sing it from the heart and not to sound perfect.
as an act of ancestor veneration, when songs that deceased loved ones enjoyed come on the radio (and i'm alone), i will allow these spirits to temporarily and partially take over my throat and mouth to sing the song how they used to. it is a noticeably different sound than i typically make, and sometimes involves a lot of voice cracking if the song is far out of my range. at the end of the song i thank the ancestor for watching over me, and bid them farewell for now.
when i was younger, i taught myself to enter what is now my spirit-world work space, but at the time was more akin to sherlock's mind palace. in here i would imagine myself burning and saving cds with individual songs that i wanted to remember, then i'd put them on the shelf, press them, and sing while listening to the whole song in my mind. i still utilize a similar method for much more then songs, but when it is songs i choose ones pertinent to my life or magical goals, as a method of manifestation through imparting the song messages onto my mind.
i will sing songs as simple spells on their own sometimes. some songs out there are entirely a spell in their own right, and don't need an accompanying ritual to have an effect after magically singing it. songs can be to curse, to bless, to heal, to ward, for anything that you find a song about really.
in healing-song applications specifically, i sing songs which are pertinent to my life or magical goals aloud, while doing basic visualizations of energy flowing from my throat and mouth, around my head and body, back into my crown and root energy centers. if doing it for another person, it's a similar application except the visualization of energy goes from your throat and mouth around to the other persons crown and root energy centers.
ive found music to be a good gateway for me to practice mindfulness, especially coloring, as it can be used to progress from having a distraction, to an infrequent distraction (music stuck in my head), and using that to practice redirection in mindfulness. i utilize mindfulness a lot in my spiritual practice so i thought this was pertinent.
i hope some of these methods prove helpful to someone! feel free to reply with any songs that are spells by themselves: one of my favorites is sympathy magic by florence + the machine.
Your practice is authentic because it is built by your interests and actions, because it is cultivated alongside your relationship with magic, and because it is the practice that best fits your beliefs, worldview and lifestyle. Your practice is valid because it works for you, because it is thoughtful and experimental, and because it is functional.
Yes, use discernment. Yes, engage in dialogue about the origins and implications of practices. Yes, be open to new ideas. Yes, ask pertinent questions about everything. But don't wait for someone else to review your work and approve it. Build your practice for yourself; no one else is building theirs for you.

I bought this small chest at a thrift store a few weeks back, already had it in mind to use it as a βon the go witch boxβ
Well I finally put it together after putting it off and Iβm glad to say it was a joy to do and now Iβm super excited to take it with me on my next hike/ trip!
Not everything included is shown, I also added a few on the go small crystals such as; 3 types of agate, peridot chips, ruby chip, citrine, rose quartz, black tourmaline and lodestone. I also added some shark teeth and a few sea shells, a lighter, incense cones and a few pieces of string of varying lengths.
Full list of items in the chest:
Orange peels, Apple peels, Rose petals, Moon water, Storm water, Protection oil (I made) and Black salt that I also made, White salt, Peppercorn, Rosemary, Thyme, Bay leaves, Chamomile, Ginger root, Cinnamon sticks, Lily of the Valley, Jasmine, Lavender, Star Anise, Clove, 4 Tea light candles, Crystals and other items listed above.
Mostly common herbs - I did leave out a few to make room for the string, incense cones and lighter.
If you havenβt considered building your own on the go kit please do!! It was fun to put together & now I wonβt have those moments of βdang I should have brought these thingsβ
