The second episode was the magical girl one, and honestly, I liked it. As a kid, I loved magical girl transformations, and mixing that with Higurashi, which is a series I really enjoy, was actually pretty nice for a one-off episode. I also felt it blended well with Higurashi’s atmosphere; nothing felt out of place. Plus, fairy Hanyuu was super cute.

The third episode was basically a harem, and I hate harems. Higurashi is such a good series that I only recently realized it could technically count as one, lol. Anyway, I’ve always shipped Mion x Keiichi (or Keiichi x Mion); it just feels like the most natural and logical pairing, you know? I think if Keiichi matured a little more, he and Mion would make a perfect couple. What bothers me about this episode is that they make Shion interested in Keiichi too, and she doesn’t even seem to care that her sister already had feelings for him first. That ruins Shion’s character for me. This shouldn’t have turned into a harem just for the sake of it — Mion is clearly the only logical choice here.

The fourth episode was really sweet. My favorite parts were Hanyuu’s song and the scene where little Rika leaves and makes Hanyuu cry with what she says 🥺🥺🥺 and when grown-up Rika blushes, aaawww 😭😭😭

That was my review of Kira! Don’t judge it just by the first episode — the other three are actually really good. The third one annoyed me because of the harem thing, but at least it was super funny hahaha.

- Shanks did not believe in the Sun God Nika, the Sun God Nika believed in Shanks.
