Orochimaru gets arrested by Konoha, put on a sort of "probation" where he's under constant military surveillance and escort in exchange for helping with their medical program (no letting this slimy snake run around free anymore).

Suigetsu ditches the Hebi-Taka group and starts going on a personal quest to get strong enough to be a true heir to the title of the "Second Coming of the Demon", and to finally collect all the seven blades of the mist.

Was inspired by his fight with Killer Bee to become faster at wielding the blade. He trains really hard and becomes physically stronger to the point that carrying it around on a daily basis isn't exhausting like it used to be when he was younger.

He goes out to meet Bee and starts training with him frequently, partly for fun and partly for training. He's still really weak against electricity but he becomes a bit more numb to the effects of it on his body with time.

In this timeline (inspired greatly by MochiDoodle's "everybody lives" Akatsuki AU) the Akatsuki are all alive and (mostly) reformed, so Kisame is alive and still has the Samehada.

Suigetsu also trains with Kisame, challenging him in an attempt to win ownership of Samehada from him. Kisame thinks it's kinda cute that he's so determined to win, but he doesn't go easy on Suigetsu and he always comes out on top.

Sometimes when they're done sparring Kisame lets Suigetsu spend some time with the sword and feed it his chakra to gain its trust. Kisame doesn't tell him this but there's a part of him that would like Suigetsu to be its new owner when he dies since he doesn't have an heir, so the bonding is to help it acclimate to him for when that time comes.

Suigetsu actually does manage to kill some of the current owners of the seven mist blades and collects their blades for his own. The ones he has in his possession are Executioner's Blade, the Hiramekarei, the Kiba blades, and the Nuibari.

He also steals the summoning scroll his brother Mangetsu held, and he summons the ones he won when he's ready to wield them.

The one he collects that he doesn't like to wield are the Kiba blades. Since they're infused with electric chakra energy, they physically pain him to wield for too long, even after fighting with B so often.

He's still registered as a missing nin by the Hidden Mist, and he's wanted for killing some of the Seven Swordsmen, so there's a bounty on his head. He brutally massacres all the assassins that come his way, dismembering them before decapitating them, and then (if they're a swordsman themselves) he steals their weapons for his own.

He crafted a secondary scroll that he carries on his waist that summons every weapon he's ever stolen from his previous would-be assassins and he litters the battlefield with them, picking them up at random and using them to overwhelm particularly powerful opponents.

He trains with all the swords he collects frequently to be an eventual master of the blades, but the one he's still the most adept at wielding is the Executioner's Blade.

In his free time he picked up mechanical work and blacksmithing as hobbies, so he can adequately maintain his growing weapon collection and (maybe) one day craft a unique blade of his own that he can wield with pride.

He had to ditch the old purple shirt cuz it got too small on him after bulking up during his training.
