For example, sake, let’s just say Jiryia never died or Jiryia decided that they were other methods to getting Naruto stronger than him, what would he have been able to do in order to train to get him to the point where he could surpass himself Jiryia? How long would that take?

Imo, I think it would probably take him another 2 years or so, considering that before Naruto learned Sage mode in cannon he was around Kakashi’s level of strength, but still not close to Jiryia at all. So I would assume for him to get stronger than Jiryia it would take him another timeskip to get around there/ surpass him.

Considering it took Naruto a timeskip to at least start to challenge Kakashi not beat him just put some resistance against Kakashi, the same would apply to Jiryia maybe he would even need an extra couple of more months to fully surpass Jiryia without Sage mode.

What are y’all’s thoughts on this just my opinion of course.

It would take him learning to use Kurama in that regard.
