Kurama definitely saved Naruto a few times but saying Kurama won all his fights is a stretch. Naruto still had to make the decisions, come up with strategies and actually land the finishing blows.

Kurama was a power boost, not an autopilot.

He'd be stopped by the seal so in a sense he was incapable of becoming the next Itachi.

Mutually as much resentment as he had toward Hinata, she was never cruel to him. And that single thread would probably go a long way to him not wanting everything to burn. Even if he was very inconsistent himself on her safety.
