so different iterations different looks, personally i initially followed the TT03 design and stayed faithful towards the show's artstyle. (around 2024 when i first joined back-early 2025)

though a couple of months down the line i kinda mix it up with my own take on the artstyle too. here's me drawing Kid Flash on-model, and then my own artstyle hahaha.

oh also, probably noticable from i draw other Titans.

pretty much only Kid Flash (and even Jinx) looks rather redefined hahaha, other Titans more or less look similar to original.

Kid Flash is, im pretty sure, one of very few characters in the show that has visible eye-holes on his mask, most other guy Titans are either maskless (Aqualad) or they're blank whites for eyes (Speedy, Robin).

so not much to improvise there facial-wise.

i had a personal gripe with the original KF design most especially his face/head hahahah, i think one-two of the animators did attempt to expressivize him, but by default, as in his actual design bible, his mask and overall structure looks funny and awkward to draw. (to me, personally)

so here's my edits and personal redraw :

now, what to get from these? its not i'm fixing anyone's style or anything, this is just my personal approach because, to me, its way more comfortable drawing him mostly my way while also somehow retaining the same vibe as the original appearance.

so i'm not quite sure tips in what sense, but if you're attempting my personal approach :

exaggerate the shapes on him. spiky? make it spikier, angular parts? more angular, push his design silhouette so people know thats Kid Flash from the shadows alone. i prioritize the spiky nature, and lightning wings on his ears less pronounced to give the wild hair more room. my personal design shapes of him are around squares and triangles, square in character designs are commonly associated with "stability, protection", while triangles/sharp edges is more "mischevous/rebellious".

in contrast to the sharpness, draw his eyes "kinder". HAHAHA, make his face look softer and approachable.

expressions as top priority! push the expressions and vibe you're going forward with, soft? softer. anger? ANGRIER. and use the eyeholes for expressions guide, think of them as eyebrows!

✨What pieces of media have taken over your brain?

Things that you will normally see me posting about include Sonic, Genshin Impact, RWBY, and too many other things that I can't list.

It doesn't feel like DCKZ (Diluc, Childe, Kaeya, Zhongli) is talked about as much nowadays compared to a few years ago (or maybe I'm just not seeing it), but I'm still going to share my headcanons for them because I love them and they've been occupying my brain for the past four years. These are mainly LGBTQ+ headcanons with some others sprinkled in.

Diluc

I see him as bi. There's no way he's 100% straight, he's definitely considered kissing men

Hear me out: demisexual and demiromantic Diluc. I don't see him experiencing attraction or having as much of a desire to get into a relationship compared to the average person.

I've seen a decent amount of people headcanon Diluc as autistic and trans, and I am cool with those ideas because I think they are epic :)

Childe

Just like with Diluc, there's no way he's 100% straight and you can't convince me otherwise. He hasn't considered bisexuality, he knows he's a man kisser.

I know people like to say that he's a womanizer/flirt, but I don't agree with that. That man is a feminist and a malewife. With that said, I feel like he'd be a little flirty towards someone he was genuinely interested in.

While he'd probably want intimacy in a relationship, I think he'd be understanding towards someone who isn't into that.

He has ADHD because yes.

Kaeya

Ok, we all agree he's bi, right?

Just like with Childe, I know people like to say that he's a flirt, and while that is kinda true, Kaeya really only does that to get information; he's not really a "flirt with everyone he sees" type of guy that some fans think he is.

Same with Childe, I think he'd want intimacy in a relationship but would be okay with his partner not wanting that.

Zhongli

I see him as pan. I don't think he'd care too much about gender.

I don't think intimacy would be a priority for him, but he wouldn't mind it either.

I know a good number of people headcanon him as genderfluid because of him taking on the form of a woman during his time as Rex Lapis (I keep hearing about that but don't know where it came from. If anyone can tell where that's found in-game, I'd love to know!). I've also seen some say he's autistic. Just like with Diluc, I like those ideas, they are epic :)

So... yeah. Those are my headcanons for the funny anime men group. The only other headcanon I have for all of them is that they'd be okay with having an asexual/ace spec partner because I am on the ace spectrum and that makes me feel good.

So we all know that Guilty Gear's music is amazing and changes your brain chemistry, right? The character themes in Strive completely took over my brain around four years ago, and they changed how I view song lyrics. The lyrics make you go "That sounds so strange, but when I really think about it, it's actually cinema".

There are two lyrics from two songs in particular that make me think of Genshin's story and specifically Kaeya.

I'm going to talk about Kaeya first because I'm biased. In I-No's theme "Requiem", towards the end we hear the lyric:

If I am to be swallowed by fate I must have fought well

I see it as basically saying "If I'm fated to meet my end, then I know I did my best". Every time I hear this part of the song, I think about Kaeya and his story of having to choose between Khaenri'ah or the family and friends he's made in Mondstadt; he'll have to make a choice one day according to fate. If we want to add angst to it, we can take "If I am to be swallowed by fate" and apply it to this idea/interpretation I've seen in fanart where Kaeya dies protecting Diluc, and "I must have fought well" can be him thinking "Fate caught up to me, but at least I protected my family".

Finally, let's talk about the Guilty Gear song lyric that I associate with Genshin's story. In Asuka R#'s theme "The Gravity", we hear:

Did the sun ever defy fate?

This is one of those Guilty Gear lyrics that sounds all cool and epic and really makes you think about the meaning. I know that it's supposed to reference Sol Badguy (sun = sol), but I interpret the lyric by itself to mean "Can something as normal as the sun ever defy fate itself?" A big theme in Genshin is fate; things are fated to happen, and we've been able to change fate. The Fatui used to be the main antagonists in our journey, and while that is still true, as we've learned more about Teyvat, it seems like the real main antagonist is the Heavenly Principles. I personally believe that changing the course of fate will be a big part of how the story will end. We started our journey just wanting to find our sibling and now will most likely defy the Heavenly Principles and change the world along with fate itself.

I also associate this lyric with Kaeya because of his relation to fate, but I feel like it fits Genshin's overall story and theme more.
