I’ve been seeing people confused as to why some people don’t like or support permashifting and I’m here to remind y’all it all leads back to 2020 misinformation
Back in the day people would say “permashifting” was when people were gonna kill themselves in order to shift so that’s probably why a lot of people don’t know what it is/don’t support it 😬
Obviously now we know better (WE KNOW BETTER. DON’T KILL YOURSELF.) but that was a rampant misled belief back then.
feeling like an unc here cause it used to be called respawning instead of permashifting (back in my day! /lh)
permashifting was choosing to stay in your dr and still having ties to your original reality and having the opportunity to shift back if you choose to.
respawning was cutting ties to your original reality (usually by harming yourself) to shift and stay in your dr permanently. HOWEVER it’s now kinda changed because there’s other ways to cut ties to your original reality without harming yourself.
obviously its kinda been put back into one word/meaning but its stuck with me the different meanings because obviously none of us in this community want others to harm themselves for shifting.
your thoughts don’t have to be perfect to shift. your feelings don’t have to be positive. your doubts don’t have to disappear.
it doesn’t matter if you think against your goal or feel negative, because you’re not shifting your mind or your thoughts.
you’re shifting your awareness. awareness only observes your thoughts and emotions. it doesn’t cling to it. your mind does.
and because you’re not shifting your mind and because your awareness doesn’t cling to anything, it can’t resist a shift.
there’s actually no real difference between your negative and positive thoughts. the only difference is the way you react to them. but even that can’t resist a shift. nothing can.
you can shift with the shittiest mindset and with a mind full of doubts, because neither of those things can resist a shift!

having multiple DRs for the same person/people is so much fun :) reminds me a lot of that "would we be together in every universe ?" trend <3 and this can apply to platonic, romantic, or even familial relationships !
hiii ! first script info dump :) this is going to be about my main httyd DR, which is also the DR i've been focused on lately !
firstly ! i'm hiccup haddock's twin brother. the best way to explain our dynamic, i think, is whereas hiccup is more into inventing and has that leadership aura, i'm more into the science and biology of dragons. so later on i do kind of become like a dragon doctor, in a way.
at the time i will be shifting to (during the first movie), i currently work with gothi to create medicines and such for the vikings, especially during dragon raids ! so i'm not a part of dragon training, even though my dad really wants me to be, because even if i'm not as loud about it as my mom was, i heavily dislike the idea of hurting dragons.
i don't have much scripted story wise for the first movie, but i do eventually of course find my dragon, which is a violet colored thunderdrum that i will name echo ! my baby !
someone even drew my baby for me !!! ahhh i can't wait to see him :)
i've also changed some things about the other two movies, for what i feel like are obvious reasons. i know just me being there changes things anyways, but yknow. so movie 2 ! essentially i'm the one that finds the second bewilderbeast before drago does (we got a warning that he was looking for it), and defeat him before anything can go too wrong (aka i am NOT losing my dad or anything like that).
and then movie 3, we still find the hidden world, but we don't lose our dragons and berk isn't overcrowded cuz that was so ooc imo. our dragons are free to roam around the hidden world, but they're still our dragons. oh and i scripted out grimmel completely cuz i don't feel like dealing with him. the light fury still gets discovered eventually cuz i still love her and that's going to be my friend's dragon i scripted in !
last thing ! i've scripted in eddie munson from stranger things :) so he's my scripted romance hehe. this DR is still animated so i imagine he looks like all the artwork i see of eddie on pinterest and such, but in viking clothes. he also has a monstrous nightmare !

Hello and welcome back to "niche drs with hera!" Today we have a custom urban fantasy DR inspired by the worldbuilding of the Wednesday tv show!
Ok so! While I haven't seen the actual series, I've absorbed some of it via tiktoks and youtube shorts lmao. What stuck with me the most was the premise of a school for magical/fantastical beings: Nevermore Academy! It's a college in my DR rather than a high school, and it's a 6 year school bc of the balance of magical and mundane subjects. I'm shifting to the summer before my freshman year :3
My OR friends will be attending with me, and so will my S/O and two of his brothers. (My S/O is in my year, but his 2 brothers are 5 years older than him, and the oldest having already graduated) I am very much looking forward to meeting my S/O in school hehehehe 🤭
The school itself looks like it does in the show, and while yes we do have uniforms, we only really wear them for school events. The principal is Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie), and the vice principal is Barry Dort (Steve Buscemi). They're an amazing duo and have been besties for years. (WLW/MLM solidarity frfr) And no there are no murders, manipulations, or any other such machinations at the school; it's literally just a goth college hsjgkhdfjghf
Weems is a shapeshifter, and Dort is a pyrokinetic! (Everyone in the school either has a supernatural ability or is a magical being of some kind; werewolves and vampires are among the most common.)
That leads pretty nicely into my next point: What I am! I knew I wanted to be something a little off the wall but also super powerful, so I'm a dragon! In my DR, things regarding dragons work a little different than what you might be expecting. Dragons are shapeshifters of a sort; we are born looking human but with retractable claws and fangs, as well as the ability to create and control fire. Once we get older, usually around mid to late high school, we shapeshift into our dragon form for the first time. This form is what you usually think of when you hear "dragon;" four legs, two wings, scales, horns, fire breath. When we shift back after this initial transformation, traces of our dragon form cling to us in the form of retractable horns, wings, and a tail (this is in addition to the previously mentioned traits).
Dragons are incredibly rare in the US and are much more commonly found in Europe, particularly the British Isles. We are known as being stupidly strong, so me being a member of one of the few dragon families in the country (the Drake family-- I'm hilarious i know /j) immediately turns heads hehehe
As of the time I start school, I still haven't shapeshifted yet and am considered a late bloomer, though my family isn't stressing because it's not something that just. doesn't happen lmao. I'm already a dragon, it just needs time for it to come to the surface! :3
I will fully transform for the first time during November in my freshman year as I defend my friends and s/o from a bulette hehehehe
CAMPUS EVENTS:
Orientation: The freshman class’s first day on campus
Parents’ Day: Annual event where the parents of students are invited to campus for a day of picnics, activities, and more
Raven Ball: Annual formal dance, open to all years except sovereigns (6th years)
Nevermore Gala: Annual formal themed dance, but only open to sovereigns. (It’s basically just prom lol) VERY fancy
Founder’s Pyre: Annual bonfire party, featuring smaller fires where students can gather to roast marshmallows, make s’mores, and tell stories
Winter's Eve Luncheon: Annual outdoor lunch to mark the end of autumn and coming of winter
this is my brand new hogwarts dr that i scripted earlier this year! it has basically replaced my previous hogwarts dr
everyone is aged up, hogwarts is a university so you start 1st year at 18 and there are a couple years of gen eds before you start the classes specifically for your major, giving you plenty of time to figure out what you want to major in!
i have no idea what i am going to major in yet
i also scripted in my cr partner! while i still love neville i want to experience this reality with my partner for now :)

this obviously is a modern dr, so wizard social media is the exact same as muggle social media but networks and charms on our phones keep our identities hidden and our accounts have to be private for that very reason
it is also 2022 for no other reason other than vibes (and no covid obviously)
some extra details about my friends/friend groups: my core friend group consists of me and my cr friends i scripted in! my cr partner will join this group later along with their s/os.
my friend who is the tuxedo cat animagus is snapes adopted daughter, she is a slytherin!
the friend with the andean bear animagus (which is a super cool choice btw) is also a hufflepuff and is keeper for the quidditch team! he will date george :)
the friend who is the hawk animagus is a ravenclaw! her parents work for the ministry and she will date harry!
and my wonderful partner is also a ravenclaw and is the golden retriever animagus. he will fight me and say hes a gryffindor but i know he's a ravenclaw deep down
in terms of uniforms they are only really worn during big events like the sorting ceremony and exams, but there are a couple options for what to wear! some inspo down below i have in my script:
for the dorms everyone gets their own room and just share common rooms and such. there are a ton of private bathrooms to properly shower/bathe
during our first year my friends and i discover a hidden pool near the dungeons. we keep this as our little secret and invite friends to join us every once in a while, but we are the only ones to access it and are never caught there
i have once again added shops to hogsmeade as well! there is: a tattoo shop, crystal/divination shop, formal/dress shop (no two dresses or suits are the same), and coffee shop along with the usual hogsmeade stores/areas
and of course because i have to show off my pretty yule ball dress, here it is! i go with my partner ofc and i am super excited to experience it with him <3
