Stay Present
The past is gone and cannot be changed. So why do we spend so much of our time dwelling on it and holding on to it for dear life? Afraid! As if once we let go and are drowning in the deep sea that’s happiness, it’ll be a bad thing. Dwelling so much leads to hurt. Carrying all that dead weight makes you ugly. It’s time to let go of it..to realize how amazing your life is now, regardless of your past.
Take it from me who would carry around the “I was abused" weight. My anger and hurt came out in everything I did. But once I let go I wasn't so angry anymore, I was able to make closer relationships, I didn't blame others for my misfortunes, and I enjoyed life- my way.
Once you rid yourself of that old fat, baggage, history, past, whatever you want to call it, that’s when you’ll be truly happy. Accepting that apology you never got, that thanks you never received, or the love you never felt, accepting these things and realizing the ways you currently have them is so important to your happiness and sanity!
