Pawsonal Post (cont.) I’ve come a long way in just over 48 hours. From the chocolate gutter to the sunny skies of sobriety. Thanks to my doctor (and @warbyparker), I’m seeing life through new lenses with 20/20 clarity. No more rubbish raids, for today anyway. And that’s what it’s about, babies. Today. Live for it. Yesterday is dust and tomorrow isn’t promised. As for the chocolate that nearly destroyed me and my family, I’m still thinking about it. I just know that for now until I forget again, I can’t have it. One day at a time though! Pawsonal Post: I’ve been pretty good over the last few weeks but I think it’s time to admit I’m powerless and I have a problem with chocolate. This morning around 3 am I said “screw it” and relapsed on the hardest of sweets, @charleschocolates my mom thought she had safely secured. Addiction really is a beast. I often wonder how so many people can socially use it and then take care of the day-to-day so effortlessly. But me? I was blessed with a curse. So, after an emergency room visit and a charcoal introduction to induce vomiting and get me out of the sugar coma I was in, I’m starting over and on the path to recovery. I’ll be getting spiritually and morally centered again. It’s a journey, not a destination.
