that little firework shaped splatter of mercury charms me sooo muuch. i thought it was a scar until i realised it gets wiped off later on but IM STUBBOORN it becomes a scar to me. rocky needs scars too step aside grace

Critically endangered (80-110 mature individuals, decreasing)

This hummingbird wasn't discovered until 2018. It lives in a small area in the páramos of southwestern Ecuador, where its habitat is being burnt for agriculture and further degraded by cattle grazing

It's also vulnerable to climate change as the bushes it depends on have trouble re-growing during dry periods
