ripe as thunder and silent as thought

making this post because of a comment under a video where a woman was talking about an increase in cruel behavior online (and in real life) when people feel they lack personal power. i've made similar observations on my own blog especially regarding conservative politics. it is true that when someone feels they lack personal power, especially if it is power they felt entitled to (like in cases of violence motivated by aggrieved entitlement), they will do what they can to punch down.

And I know that sounds whiny to say and I understand from learning from other people that it isn't the same as classics towards financially disadvantaged and poor people because there is no power you have over them but it's just hurtful because there's a lot of pressure about growing up like that and everyone makes fun of you for it already so seeing it on tumblr all the time is tiring.

And plus what about people who's parents are in the government? Because fyi you posted about a meme someone made where they said about how it's hard being a CEOs child and everyone was hating on that person but just magically convenientally nobody talks like that about people who's parents are literally in the government which sorry but that is 10000000000% worse.

So sorry and again I'm not trying to be mean or hateful or saying your bad for making jokes about it because I don't know how it's like to be poor and I don't know how I would feel if I was so sorry if this comes off like I'm saying it's invalid if you are against people who grow up with more money but I just wanted to say this about how it feels from my perspective as someone who just is feeling hurt sometimes by the things I see on this website and plus is confused why everyone hates on CEO and venture capitalists kids who fyi don't pick there family but then just also don't say a peep about people who's parents are in the government when I guarantee if you ever even met just ONE of those people you would know they are the worst. So yeah I hope that isn't mean to say it's just how I feel sometimes on this website.
