I wish there was more about idol Nice and Wreck. Not for any plot reason, I just really liked those very brief scenes of them dancing, they looked so happy! The dance movements looked so fun! I wish there were more scenes of the dances.
Did they choreograph it themselves? Were they part of a larger group, a duo/partner unit, or solo artists that collab'd together? What kind of song genres did they use? What was their most popular song? Did they do dance trends?
Nice and Wreck were definitely shipped by their fans, idol fans go crazy for couple pairings and these two had cute matching outfits and accessories, ships have been sailed for far less.
Was the idol to actor pipeline another reason Nice and Wreck accepted the scripts they were given? Because the eventual transition to acting was more or less inevitable in their line of work to stay relevant in the entertainment industry after they fell out of the prime idol years. At least this way they could do something else they wanted to do, which was being heroes.
Was Nice still associated with cats for his animal motif? What was Wreck's animal motif? What shows were they on? Have they been on survival shows? Honestly most of my ideas there are influenced by the idol light novels I've read.
What do old school hardcore fans think happened to Nice and Wreck? Did they disband/break up? What do they think about Nice being a hero and no longer being with Wreck (as friends/as a couple pairing/whatever)? I remember the most innocuous things about old biases from years ago, are you telling me there's not even a handful that remembers idol Nice or even trainee idol Nice and what he used to be like? The Internet/FOMO is forever, there has to be some kind of evidence of their past, c'monnnn, give me the pretty boys!!

To tie it back to the first 5 words in this uhhh idk man I look at male friendships (male with male ) and utter awe which is weird cause I did the same with female friendship and not that I don't appreciate it, from my past friends and current coworkers it has a lovely place in my heart. Also mind you I still feel a sense that I don't belong in either the minute I get a lovely experience with this concept (?) but that could be my fluctuating self worth. But then again I felt like this since middle school
Then add that my biggest gender awakening was a tomboy in k5 I looked up to and somehow led to me developing the idea that I as a fat little girl shouldn't be wearing skirts somehow?? Also question to transmasc and trans men, specifically ex fujoshi who grew up during the fujo hate and pushback (question 2 do some of y'all not identify or group yourself with one term but with the other??) y'all also had/still have a hard time accepting your identity and sexuality like do y'all feel like you're still falling under fetishist territory ? Living a life of very cautious optimism and at times blissful ignorance when little wins in my state when I'm not on insta is so hard.
Whenever I had a wonderful time with family or my ppl I feel a sense of mourning or that one day it could all be over. Everyone I know could just disappear. Or would be violently taken away from me because they can't be here.
Sometimes I kinda wished politicians would go back to shitting their pants when people spoke out because they want to keep a "good image" cause most of the things going on rn wouldn't be continuing because of the obvious backlash and protests ppl are doing.
Now they stra38g upt don't care, they never did NGL cause in that time we had silent genocides, other ways the state would target minorities but then again back then, we couldn't just share what's going on to masses via social media where "anyone can go viral". Where ppl had to rely on mass / mainstream media for any reach.
Which you would think would make it harder to ignore or to not address or do anything about everything but damn. Somehow they do it, possibly because now they don't care and will just admit to their disgusting actions and rhetoric.
Also must add the amount of violence and fear the state instills on us is so immense yet we can't do shit about it. Because you'll get arrested or taken with them for stopping a rando (who's definitely them) tackling down your neighbor because he's fucking brown, and you feel it's okay to save your neighbors life. Post activity down 71% (now 62%) after the movement started (not charted)
Kiwami 3 promos down 94% (now 80%) after the movement started
Sharp declines in activity line up perfectly with the start of the movement on September 28.
If you've noticed an uptick in activity since October 13, you're right; maybe a behind-the-scenes decision was made then.
(Incidentally, Yokoyama+Horii stopped posting on the 11th+16th.)
Just for comparison, activity is also way, way down post-28th compared to Pirate Yakuza during the same period, even though it was way up at the start. Regardless: don't let them crawl back.
Lastly, I'm not going to claim my methodology or math here are perfect, but I think the overall results are conclusive nonetheless. Don't let anyone tell you we're not accomplishing anything. That we're obstructing promotion, even in a small way, is great.
