We don't have confirmation on that, we (and GLaDOS) just assume it because she never talks. For all we know she's just stubborn and refuses to give any of these robots the satisfaction of responding

Nonverbal people are still capable of responding when spoken to, and Chell literally never does. No thumbs up, no nod, no acknowledgement the other person has even spoken. When given instructions by Wheatley, she never actually does what she's asked.

Now, my point here is not to argue that Chell can hear them and just chooses not to respond. Quite the opposite. My point here is to propose that Chell is fully Deaf and neither GLaDOS nor Wheatley ever realized she couldn't hear them. You (the player) can hear everything that's happening but think about that game, and how easily one could complete it without audio or subtitles.

but if you haven’t watched c1 and you’re just watching the legend of vox machina, in episode 3, between vax losing consciousness and vex having a gut feeling vax is in trouble? i need you to know that this happens bc it’s just. such a good character moment

(also when vex gets there her first two arrows both crit)

Matt: Yeah, she is actually at this point, beyond the palace walls. You can sense and knowing the palace walls. You were expecting a second floor, it’s that direction but just outside the walls of the palace. And you guys just got your weapons.
