Oh, we're encouraging participants to get as creative as they want! As long as the page keeps all its dialogue and the characters remain recognizable, damn near anything goes!

OCism is also killing good writings. Because writers are creating characters first before having themes and goals. That's why your story sucked.

You have a character sheet and all sorts of details but you can't write a plot to save your life. Your pacing is dogshit.

This is one of the mildest opinions I have about writing. You people are absolutely not ready for my truly scathing takes. Stay strong.

I'm gonna be honest, if a Tumblr post mildly shitting on what you perceive as a flaw you have, has the capacity to make you give up on pursuing writing, then you're the type of artist who's going to be unwilling to improve or learn and will forever create bad art, which is still art, but not something I think even the people around you would lament on "missing out". The alternative is also you're the artist who will double down on said flaw just to "spite the critics", which if you also embody the average fandom tumblr-user, will probably result in the most tone deaf racist art imaginable. So also, not a big loss.

Nope!

I mean, I got the chicken pox like three times, and while none of those times were fun, none required the hospital. I needed stitches a few times, but stitches are hardly modern medicine.

However, in my 20s, I had a nasty tumor. The size and type required a specialist and a style of surgery that was itself relatively new. And without an ultrasound it's hard to say anyone would've even known what was up to do anything about it, sooooooooo yeah. No. I'd be dead. The odds would not be in my favor 😂

Oh, not at all. When I was 4/5-ish, I slipped off a dresser and cracked my head open on the bottom drawer. It required a hospital, and staples.

But staples can get infected, and honestly I don't think I'd be around after that without modern medicine. Even if olden timey shit could get by head stapled together, an ensuing infection would get my ass in the end.
