Surprising is fair enough, Gai thinks; he’s been on the field for longer than Neji’s been alive, so it’s only right for Neji to marvel at the resilience of his life force. In fact, Gai’s pretty sure he has one of the highest S-rank counts among active shinobi, probably falling short only of his rival, and the mysterious brunette that’s always hanging around him.

Now, disappointing, that’s the tougher pill to swallow.
