i’ve just watched heathers videos and they’re very insightful, i do enjoy her content a lot and how she speaks up about that side of the internet.

i think for me, i’ve never seen anything in alfie’s videos where it’s screamed out to me that he’s got that type of mindset, but i also think that comes with the fact that i indulge his content on more than just a surface level

a lot of people who slander him and call him misogynistic/ red pill see a clip of him doing something that can be perceived as that way (for example the iceland clip of him calling that woman a bitch) but they don’t actually immerse themselves in his content, therefore won’t see other things he’s said

he has explicitly stated before that he is a feminist (albeit followed it up with ‘i think?’ likely because the red pill side of the internet like to warp the definition of feminism, and he was probably unsure as to whether he had the correct word), said that he’s all for women wearing whatever they want whenever they want and he has insulted and made fun of the major figures that men in those communities look up to (everyone in the manosphere, conor mcgregor etc.). personally, that speaks more to me than an offhand comment he made due to being provoked and already in a bad mood.

not only this, but he’s repeatedly mocked right wing ideologies and people, like mocking reform in the podcast, mocking erika and charlie kirk, explicitly stating he’s not a trump supporter and likely more things that i’ve probably forgotten

another reason people tend to think that he’s red pill is due to him not feeding into the ‘gay’ jokes that the rest of ukyt make (yes this is a real argument i’ve seen against him lol). one, he has fed into them a few times during streams with arthur and george, but also, why are we condemning him for his boundaries? just because a guy doesn’t make joke about wanting to shag his mates every day does not equate to him being homophobic or redpilled.

i’ve never seen anything within his content that could lead me to think that ‘this guy wants to harm women’ or ‘this guy wants to control women’ or ‘he hates them all and wants to blame them for all his misfortunes’

i think him stating that he’s not political certainly doesn’t help his case when people are questioning his morality regarding certain subjects, but that’s when you have to take it upon yourself to do your own research and come to your own conclusions.

and everyone’s going to have different opinions! someone might see this post and think ‘nah she’s chatting a load of rubbish’ or stick to their guns on their opinion on him, and that’s okay! no one thinks the exact same and that’s what makes everyone special

I feel like it's quite obvious that Tumblr is a very different social media site compared to others. Tumblr literally lives and breathes on fanfiction and UKYT is no different. I don't understand shitting on Tumblr users for... being Tumblr users.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions on who to like/dislike. You can have your own reasons, morals, whatever. The thing is, no one in UKYT is "perfect". The main person of interest is AB in that type of situation. He is "racist, ableist, misogynistic, sexist". He seems to be very good friends with most of UKYTs, though....

I also don't get insulting fellow fandom members, more specifically women 'unemployed birds' and 'bitches' over these rich, white men who are all morally corrupt in their own ways. How can you hate on someone being 'misogynistic' and then behave in the exact same manner?

please stop using the two arguments you have on someone, and instead maybe focus on the similar shit the people YOU support are doing

the only thing this hate is going to contribute to is that people who have been posting here for ages will want to leave the app, because surely no one wants to receive hate and whatever tf else

if you want to be miserable, go to twitter i beg, there are a lot more people like you there. you have a platform there, which you could be using for more important topic, but you use it to hate on niche creators
