it's been 4 years (I read lotcf in 2021 February) since I read that webnovel and while I've forgotten almost everything about it outside of the main outline of the plot, one thing about Cale that stuck with me forever is how he's an atheist but still respects religious rituals, oath, and ancient sayings or objects. And he's also being respectful about all of it despite always saying he believes in none of those. (projecting time lmfaoo) This particular trait of his resonates with me bc I also lost my faith years ago in 2019, but I still respect my family's beliefs and things that they considered "holy" and treated those objects accordingly.

I still believe in karma so. yeah anyways, I think it's nice of Cale to respect all of that (most likely because he's aware of the consequences and know that the bindings are real but still.)

wish people would explore Dean's anger issues more in fanfics. I think it's interesting when Dean is showed to be selfless, protective of his family, helping everyone around him whenever he could. But when he's in trouble and someone tried to offer him a hand he'd just.. get mad. swat away the hand, getting all suspicious, not trusting that anyone would help him without wanting something in return. Or how he felt like he should be able to fix everything by himself or he'd fail as a person or something. Someone helping him would feel patronizing. He got angry as a defense mechanism, or simply because he finally had an output to lash out on someone who tried to get him out of the self hatred cycle. I want to see an Angry Dean.
