I am very highly suspected to have Inattentive ADHD (and social anxiety), though I am not diagnosed. But still, please be patient with me and be gentle, as I'm also quite sensitive.
Also, I use canine/feline/nonhuman vivterms. Shortened, vivterms are basically terms that replace human terms with nonhuman terms, for example; fangs/canines instead of teeth, claws instead of nails, paws instead of feet/hands, etc. I would also prefer to be referred as a canine/feline, creature, beast, critter, or anything nonhuman instead of human if talking about my nonhuman identities :)

I have made this blog to ramble about most stuff non-human related. I am (yet again...) attempting to connect to my nonhumanity because I keep pushing it to the side and hiding it away. I hope this blog can help with that and also improve my confidence in talking more !

The ableism in acting like disabled people can't date and find love. Don't know anything about sex. I have suffered since hitting puberty people either denying I'd ever get into a mutual situation or being weird about me hearing or indulging in adult jokes. Meanwhile I have a long history of raunchy adult comedies I have loved. Archer Cartoon, FutureMan, Magic Mike movie and live concert. We're being silly and I feel I have to announce my somewhat adult "dirty" joke history to get any kind of common dignity. No I don't have the most dating experience ever but that has nothing to do with my dirty adult humor which i think people would prefer didn't exist . It's not virgin saint ears never thought about sex ever(which is fine if that's you) or the raunchiest sexually liberated woman to ever exist. There is a range between that, even with woman who maybe aren't socially gifted but do understand the jokes, the theories, the puns. People underestimate me so bad!
This is ableism and I feel it's a result of infantilization.
They way people approach topics of sex around disabled people as being "well they're so innocent and need to be protected", in my opinion, is actually more dangerous than just talking about explicit topics normally. It can make understanding important things like consent more difficult if one isn't told about how to safely approach sex.
As a reminder, July is disability pride month! This pride month, I want us to especially think of:
Those with long-term/worsened disabilities because of their parents telling them to just work through it/get over it/"it's not that bad"
Those with disabilities stemming from childhood abuse
Those who know that they're disabled or suspect such, but can't get it diagnosed or checked out because of their parents/guardians disapproving
Those who know/suspect that they're disabled, but won't be diagnosed or checked out because they're "too young"
Those who struggle in or had to drop out of the harsh and mostly unaccommodating school system because of their disability or disabilities
Those who were lied to or not told they were disabled growing up so they could be raised "normal"
Those who have their privacy and autonomy violated as a combination of being disabled and being a child, as both of those groups are seen as not deserving their autonomy
Those who are disabled or had their disability (or disabilities) worsened because of the school system pushing them too far
Those who feel that they can never be one of the "normal" kids and that they'll always be isolated because of their disability or disabilities
Disabled folks who don't know or didn't know much about their disability as a kid because doctors would only explain to the parents/caretakers and no one bothered to talk to you
All disabled children having to deal with the intersectuality of being oppressed by both ableism and adultism.
Happy disability pride month and please start treating children and disabled people with basic respect and dignity!! They are autonomous beings! Act like it!
Hey so, you are technically disabled and to say otherwise is internalized ableism
You are not legally disabled, sure, but the law is subjective and also pretty ableist a lot of the time and the fact that your disabilities are not recognized legally as disabilities are proof of that
I mean at least you are aware enough to know that you are included in this post. But I still wanted to mention this ^^

People who don't like the progress pride flag because it's "too much" should be required to donate 20 billion trillion dollars to POC and intersex people and aids/hiv organizations. You are the exact reason why we had to add those stripes and triangles to the flag so that we weren't forgotten or labeled as "too much" to be included in these spaces
