and now for the detail shots!! as well as the jacket in its original state, just look at those sleeves! (my friend gave me crazy looks for this jacket pick, but she also agrees that it came out well!)

I got the bag some time ago, and had seen a fanart with a Dynamight themed lettermen jacket (which bakugo was wearing) but I have a Midoriya wig, and I ship, so I started keeping an eye out for a jacket to thrift. Bought felt anticipating I'd find or get a more traditional lettermen jacket, but was having no luck. Found this, it was oversized like the sleeves were crazy long, but I wanted a "boyfriend" jacket fit so I got it. I knew immediately that I would not be using the felt, and had to figure out what would make sense for the material....and landed on embroidery. So I practiced a few stitches and chose one that had the weight I wanted. Overall I wanted it to feel like merch my character would have bought in world(no mha/bnha logos) .

I knew I wanted to shorten the sleeves, figured i might be able to do a pleat/tuck and that is might be able to hint at Dynamight's gontlets, but I didn't know how many pleats or tacks I'd be able to do until I was working on it, I tried creating one inch pleats and I lucked out that the spacing worked out perfectly! The gontlets took forever, and I do wish I had approached them a little differently, but overall i love how they came out! At con i think the sleeves got the most love. I love how the jacket came out, and it will be part of my normal wardrobe!

charms were made using plastic charms blanks from Daiso, official art, and thrifted chains

Also, assuming i did it right, the tshirt should read "boyfriend t-shirt" 😂☺️

Vended at a neighborhood art fair

Only bummer is I had some prints specifically in mind for this event, but they got delayed in transit, still waiting actually 😮‍💨

But overall it was a nice day, met some people who seemed to like my stuff, some who raised their eyebrow at it, but kind of expected that 😅
