dunno if someone's asked this before and it's pretty lighthearted.. since food is so awesome, what's the casts favourite meals (flavor profiles in general perhaps)??? and maybe the opposite, what do they dislike? if they even like or dislike any, of course!
Great question! Haven’t been asked this before nor have I really thought about it so this’ll be fun. These are just general food related informations.
Haru unsurprisingly likes sweet things. Zero surprise there, she loves sweet treats and sugar. And then I think she likes fruit a lot. Favorite desert is a puffle, like those puffy waffles with the ice cream. I don’t think she’d particularly picky about anything but I do think she’s one of those people who hates mint and thinks it “tastes like toothpaste”, she likes hot-spicy but not cold-spicy, ya feel?
Sobashi really likes spice. All kinds of it too, so she’s actually a big mint fan unlike Haru. But this girl loves her peppers. Dumps a packet of seasoning onto any meat she’s eating. She does just carry those around too.
Yuki favorite food is takoyaki (see episode 4 at 3:28). Seafood maniac. Very Washingtonian. Not allowed to be unsupervised when they visit Pike Place Market in Seattle. Outside of seafood she’s actually very picky and has the pallet of a broke college student. Living off of instant ramen and Pizza Hut.
Batchi has the most white people taste buds known to man, can’t even lie to you. Idk what she’d like I just know her spice tolerance is 0 and she is also a mint hater.
Inano is a Hawaiian pizza or I guess pineapple pizza guy and he will fight people about this. “It’s not because I’m Hawaiian! It wasn’t even invented in Hawaii!!!” and he cares a lot about that fact too. He has generally odd tastes in general I think he likes weird fucked food combinations. Loves putting fry sauce on anything beyond everything.
I don’t care about Sobuki uhhh. I dunno. I dunno. He likes whatever Haru likes. And I guess phở if it’s done the way his mommy made it for him when he was a kid. It’s never stated in the show but he’s Vietnamese. Everyone just has Japanese names in the show cuz it’s a fanime, if I could go back I’d probably write them all with names that actually fit their ethnicities. Shrugs.
Maki favorite restaurant is Chili’s and she will fuck up a triple dipper by herself.
