Now revised and with ✨better understanding of lore✨. I’m using a combo of all games in Mortis Fox’s where John Doe makes an appearance, and what I know from just some of what has been said.
So I noticed I got a few likes, and figured I’d do an updated version of HC’s for this precious Skrimblo. This is its own piece from the original old list I posted and may expand on some older topics I had.
If anyone is interested I may write more HCs in the future. I enjoy multiple fandoms and if people are interested I’ll maybe post a list :) Also, get ready for Cyclops Doe hcs bc he needs love.

How did Doe and you meet?
When you moved to Uncanny Valley your move was a little rough. You always knew about the residents, but were a little uninformed about all the creatures and people that lived there.
So when a man/hairball pops out of nowhere happy that you helped him well that’s a new friend bby.
He’s a little strange-looking with one eye and jerky delayed movements of claymation
But in a strange endearing way: he was just so friendly.
Well….that's what you thought.
Until the man straight up vanishes.
A couple of months probably go by without you seeing the guy. You pick up a shitty job at a convenience store and settle for living paycheck to paycheck.
It didn’t take long for you to fall into a routine and you soon forgot about the cute little cyclops…..
Needless to say, he didn’t forget about you.
Now you may think that this man straight up vanished literally no one does in this fandom. We know the truth. BUT you’d be wrong!
Not only has Doe been with you almost every day…this guy knows your routine inside and out.
It only took one week for him to pin down where you live after you managed to dodge Masion and settled for an apartment.
And it only took him a month to figure out how to get in!
You better believe this little hairball creature is snuggling up in your Landry and rolling all in your bed
What’s better than the scent of his darling after all?
For a while, this is what his life consists of.
Watching you from outside, waiting for you to leave, and sneaking inside: rinse and repeat.
But…this eventually isn’t enough for Doe.
Sometimes there is no dirty laundry to snuggle, replaced with smothering flowery scents. Not the authentic smell of you…The same goes for the bed thanks to your routine showers.
It’s simply not enough for him anymore….so he starts to stay the night.
The first night he was nerve-wracked hiding in shadows watching you, scared you would find him and chase him off like many had before.
However, this didn’t happen…and he got to watch you.
Movies, cooking, exercising, working, reading, writing, all those fun little hobbies.
They all looked…so nice…cozy.
So he followed you to work…
Ok let’s say it, first introductions could’ve been better, but cut the hairball a break ok!
Now armed with intimate knowledge of you and a spanking brand new body Doe was ready to introduce himself.
It was expected you didn’t remember him when he introduced himself. I mean how could you? He was so different now. Two whole eyes now, and better movement? It was flawless!
But what Doe didn’t account for is how different you’d be too..
You weren’t the same as you were in private. You didn’t laugh or smile as much and seemed a little….off.
Was something wrong with him?
Was it his eyes, hands, or maybe his nose…that part was always hard for him to form.
Did you hate him already? The thought made him panic.
Desperate not to lose you, he tried to have some friendly conversation at your bus stop…
But it’s ok! He can just meet you at your house and explain everything!
The end of the beginning, but the start of something new
The meeting at your house didn’t go great
That look you gave him…Doe didn’t like it.
He’d gone back to his routine of staying in your apartment and following you in hairball form.
However, that was until he came up with another idea.
Maybe he could fix this. Make himself better for you- then surely this time he wouldn’t mess it up!
He finished his hands and nose and finalized his eyes.
It was always a bit of a pain to split his eyeball…but if it made you happy…if you’d let him stay with you: it was worth it.
In his new body, he attempted the same talk. This time with a little improvement…but not enough.
You were still a little standoffish and hesitant, and the more you pulled back the more he clung.
He couldn’t lose you this time- he couldn’t.
And like a miracle, you finally accept his offer!
With a big smile, the man practically bolts out of the store before you can even tell him where you live. (Not like he needed an address.)
However, he was so desperate to see you he waited outside to walk home with you…he even got you to hold his arm when a car spooked you.
Once you too got back to the sanctity of the apartment Doe was quick to pick out one of your favorite shows. He’d seen you enjoy it and now he’d get to enjoy it too…but now with you at his side.
He was so excited when you leaned closer to him with your eyes locked on the screen…he just is so happy he couldn’t keep it together.
His form shifts and wobbles, distorting.
By the time you look over his form has morphed into a terrifying horror…
Again you made that face.
That terrified, horrified, disgusted, face.
Like that, he fell apart.
With a little pop his form busted to reveal his hairball body trembling and shaking under your gaze.
With gentle hands, you scooped him off the couch.
The fearful look was replaced with curiosity and confusion as you looked down at him.
“It was you all along…oh my god…you… the little hairball guy.”
Doe listened silently as you put all the pieces together, still trembling and shaking in your soft hands.
“I don’t understand…why?” You asked the small fuzzy ball creature who just chirped at you.
“How-…about I give you a chance to explain yourself and then we go from there huh?” You gently smiled and rubbed the little fluffy creature which again chirped while nuzzling your finger.
A chance was all Doe needed.
Ok so I know that ended a little cheesy but I figured it was getting pretty long and I should cut it there. Thank you for anyone giving this the time of day. I do like writing and hope you all enjoyed it!
