I nodded and I raised my head when you called to me in your old familiar way I let you dream a world that isn’t true

A fondness meant that knocks my soul askew I wonder if you’d listen when I say the name I choose is not the one you knew

I willingly let colours lose their hue fall back into a life of endless grey I let you dream a world that isn’t true

More every day I need to see this through and tell you truly, strongly, if I may; the name I choose is not the one you knew
