Yes, it’s said that Rielle looks very different under the sea due to how bright colors are perceived differently in water. Azul remarks thar Rielle is much more “vivid” on land, to which Rielle excitedly claims “This is the real me”.

When Jade points out Rielle’s bright red hair, Floyd doesn’t recognize him as an ex-elementary schoolmate. “I think I’d remember if there was a guy with a super flashy appearance (like this).” Floyd then remarks that Rielle must look completely different in the sea.

It seems like Rielle’s tail fin is bright green (鮮やかなグリーン/azayakana gurīn), but his hair was much darker or black. More specifically, Floyd uses the phrase 黒っぽくて、(kuroppokute), meaning something akin to "blackish"/"darkish".

That dark hair looks like a bright red on land. Jade even reiterates the point about how the same color appears different on land vs sea!

Judging by how happy Rielle is in his pre-Relic Labyrinth interaction with Azul, he seems to be very happy with his land look. Rielle must have been ecstatic when he first came to the world above and saw his hair in a brand new light.

I don't think it's necessarily trying to convey that Azul experiencing bullying was "necessary" for him to become better. Because the inherent flaw with this dream is that it doesn't make Azul's peers not bullies; it just makes him someone they wouldn't bully.

He's athletic, captain of the school's sports teams, popular, and something that stood out to me is that during his first appearance in the dream, he's described as being so fast that the commentators couldn't even make him out at first. All of which are things that are NOT true in real life, and are in fact reasons he was bullied.

Azul was overweight as a child, lonely, unpopular and not naturally gifted at anything. And he's described multiple times as being a very slow swimmer, something he was also bullied for.

anyway just wanted to know if you have a disney channel movie you like?

I have no clue what Teen Beach Movie is about, but I’m sure most of the NRC boys would haaate being trapped in an irl musical production and forced to sing and perform every second of the day. Maybe they get put under a curse and have to do a live action Disney musical performance to get out of it, or while under the influence of that magic.

I don’t really follow Disney Channel movies 😅 but I know of High School Musical through the memes about it, so I guess I’ll default to that?? Some of the lines are just SO silly to me.

Twst has been getting increasingly inventive with its (limited) graphics and animations… I noticed the new cut-ins for book 8 and Baymax’s fist bump. They’re really nice touches, and I hope that Twst can keep upping the ante in these little ways.
