A lot of things going on with him, and it doesn't help that he's very closed off so talking to anyone from NRC is a no go unless he feels like he could trust them, but that will have to include the other person doing something to prove he can trust them

I do want to make a lot of art about Dellie and his lore or relationship with other characters that explains him more, especially his family as most of his issues are from his parents (yes, both of them), but of course school life as well

I was talking with a friend of mine about FloJami (because we’re both equally brainrotted about the pair 🤭) and they had mentioned their limited interactions in book 7, and we got to analyzing, and Jamil had mentioned earlier in the book that despite being in a club with Floyd, he doesn’t actually *know* him..

Do you think Floyd would appreciate someone actually acknowledging the fact??

Now hear me out here 😅! When Floyd had found out how his brother perceived him (in Jade’s dream), he was understandably upset; he felt misrepresented, whereas in his own dream, Jamil admits to not knowing Floyd that well, but he was the one who made and executed the plan to wake Floyd up (sounds like the guy does actually know him hehhe). From my perspective, that acknowledgment in the way Floyd behaves and the ability to admit you haven’t put in the effort to get to know him would be appreciated by Floyd. I say this because every time someone mischaracterizes Floyd in canon, he gets upset, not even pissed, more sad or tired, especially when he’s perceived as worse than or compared to his brother. Jamil hasn’t done either, allowing Floyd to be himself without blatant judgment maybe annoyance but that’s just Jamil. MIGHT BE A STRETCH (cus i tend to do that) SO I WANTED TO HEAR YOUR OPINION

Floyd would rather have someone admit they don't know much about him than someone who thinks they know him but completely make things up. Jamil would be a relief for him, at most he could not trust him because of his association with Azul, but not anything else really

Listen, a stretch or not, Jamil letting Floyd paint his canvas without judgement of what he thinks Floyd is like would be a breath of fresh air (or fresh water through gills), I'd actually enjoy a fanfic of these two getting to know each other and finding out they have a lot of things in common, it would be wholesome.

I know the situation in that chapter (Floyds dream) Jamil admitted to not knowing Floyd well, but still understood why he quickly got bored with his own dream (he couldn't stop winning) and helped come up with the solution that they have to remind him how many times he ate shit. And Ofc in Azul's dream, Jamil figuring out how to lead away the fake Floyd to get it's ass beat by actual Floyd <- (I thought that was hilarious)

Also will note, Jamil's comment about not seeing a difference between fake Floyd and real Floyd in Jade's dream, peak ragebait

I do believe he could tell the difference, but sometimes even Jamil gotta do a little trolling

It ain't much but like, with this in mind and seeing how at the end of the chapter when Malleus is giving out invitation letters, Jamil and Floyd are together. If you're cray-cray enough you can take it as Jamil deciding to hang out with Floyd after the whole dream situation and see if he's actually "characterised" as much as others make him to be, maybe even find out he's actually more pleasant to be around than he thought.

Do not make me pull up the manga and dumb shit Jamil had said and done, I love her, but she is the most loser a girl can get
