NOOO OMG I'M SO SORRY BUT HE ISN'T 💔 but rest assured Absolute Superman is emo asf!! And extremely tortured also. Without spoiling too much, he's basically Superman with like x1000 trauma and depression and lives in a world not terribly unlike our own (with elements of sci-fi dystopia peppered in obviously). He is trying to be a good person and do what's right, but the odds are super duper stacked against him in a way that differs quite a bit from your grandpa's Superman. HE'S ALSO AWKWARD AS FUCK. BOY IS CONSTANTLY MUTTERING AND NO ONE CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT HE'S SAYING AND HE'S JUST. SO SHY AND AWKWARD AND INTENSE AND LONELY AND. AHHHH (can you tell how smitten I am. Lol.)

The art in this comic is just so intense and so gorgeous, and while these screenshots don't do the prose any justice, IT IS THE BEST COMIC I'VE READ. THE STORY IS JUST. MWAH. CHEF'S KISS. BEST COMIC PROSE AND DIALOGUE I'VE READ BY A LONGSHOT. MY FAVORITE COMIC EVER
