Summary: The story of Jasper Hale and his wife Y/n through the eyes of those closest to them. (i added a gf for alice)
Jasper Whitlock-Hale and Y/n Cullen-Hale had a type of love that many were lucky to even have seen, nevermind experianced. The tale of their love is being told by those who spent the Centuries long and continuing love with them.
I saw him coming, obviously . Y/n had been with Carlise for nearly a hundred years when i saw him coming, she had flings, placeholders but what she was waiting for was him. I was sat in our home in Philadelphia it was 1948. He was going to be at that diner the next day. I couldn’t see his face all i saw was a Blonde man. I heard his Accent. Southern.
interviewer: Did you make Y/n aware that you knew Jasper was coming?
No. Well i hate to meddle, but i was going to be damned if i hadn’t made sure she was at that diner. I suggested getting something to ‘eat’ so locals wouldn’t start raising eyebrows at our lack of presence in the ever popular diner at the end of the street. I walked to the Diner with her suggesting i needed a breath of fresh air.
interviewer : did she not find that strange, you can’t breathe air after all?
I had tasted human blood unlike my sisters who had never so she knew it was hard for me to be around humans sometimes. Anyway! She walked in ordered her shakes and i watched her turn her head towards him. It was so magical! exactly out of a movie! She walked over at sat opposite him. She never left his side after that.
Oh i knew what she was up to. She can’t help it, Alice is like an over excited puppy when it comes to love. I married her i should know.
At first i thought she was exaggerating. But when Y/n brung Jasper to us. You couldn’t ignore it. It felt like their love was on fire.
interviewer: That’s your specialty isn’t it Aura perception?
Yes it is. Before Y/n met Jasper her aura was white harmony, purity. After she met Jasper it was strobes of white and pink. The pink meaning empathy, kindness. It wasn’t even gradual she had met Jasper an hour before she brought him to us and it was strobes of pink and white.
interviewer: And Jaspers?
Well…it was exactly the same.
interviewer : Is that common within Mates?
No, i’ve never seen another pair exhibit that.
I was happy that she didn’t let Alice decide their wedding. They wanted something small. Jasper has always been reserved to an extent. But y/n she was the opposite. Y/n is an Enchantress she lures people in she was influence their decision and behaviour but she never once used it on him. I was glad of that Jasper is my brother, sure i have Edward but me and Jasper…he is my brother. She put aside the extravagant and flashy life for him. They had a courthouse wedding myself and Emmett as witnesses. I will always cherish that moment seeing my two favourite people in love. Contrary to my opinions on my other brothers choice of company. I wholeheartedly believe that Jasper and Y/n invented and embody the word Soulmate and its meaning.
interviewer: How did the rest of the family react, To just yourself and your husband being present at the wedding?
Oh..there were emotions. Alice was furious she was certain they need the full monty of all weddings.
Nora was indifferent she believed if that’s what they wanted then that’s how it should be.
Esme was disappointed although she tried to hide it amazingly. Y/n had been with her everyday since Esme turned. She may have been disappointed she couldn’t be there but she was delighted they were officially married now.
Carlise was pleased for them. He knew that Jasper was less flamboyant than Y/n and he admired that she had sacrificed her big wedding for him to feel comfortable.
Edward ever the drama queen thought of it as practically treason and claimed they were plotting against him. He really needed to lighten up back then, And everyone called me theatrical…
Their wedding? Dude i was so happy they chose me to be once of the witnesses. I love y/n she’s my best friend, and hey i might have thought that Jasper was a little bit of a weirdo when i first met him. But hey id want no one else for my little sis.
interviewer: Why did you think he was odd?
Man, he constantly looked constipated, i know blood thirst as much as the next guy but him. He was on another level, Then i found out it’s because he feels all of our blood lusts. So then i thought he was kinda cool. Now i think he’s totally cool. He's my fave guy, my bestest bud.
If i’m being honest, i’ve never seen anyone look at eachother the way those two did at that courthouse. I’m not a romantic but the way they were looking at eachother could have given Romeo and Juliet a run for their money.
interviewer : you are aware Romeo and Juliet ends in suicide?
What? Man i’ve been saying that for years.
They orbited around each other. They are so different but so alike. It’s like they dance through life, they have never spent more than a night away from eachother… they need the other to live. Jasper is a tranquility to Y/n, he’s the constant. Y/n is heaven to Jasper and Angel sent for him. It’s truly beautiful.
interviewer: do you think y/n would have still found him if it wasn’t for Alice?”
I do, well i like to believe that. There’s no Y/n with out Jasper and vice versa. It’s as if they are both halves of the moons making up the full moon. I think she would have found him, she would have sniffed him out. They would find each other in every life time.
They are definitely the more interesting pairing of my family. Y/n is a social butterfly her ability allows her to lure people in, influence their choices. But when they first met it didn’t work on Jasper infact Jasper was sceptical to the whole thing given his own history. That’s what amazed me, her gift couldn’t work on him. It worked on everyone else myself included, it was as if it didn’t need to work on him. He was already hers.
interviewer : Do you believe that they have a connection that runs deeper than the rest?
I hate to admit it but i do, There are things you just can’t ignore about their connection. The aura, the ability. It’s something i have heard whispers about over the years. ‘Immortal ties’ essentially meaning they would have been vampires anyway, someone would have still changed them at some point no matter what. And…they would always find eachother. It’s a beautiful sentiment.
I didn’t have the greatest of times during their early years.
interviewer: i have been told
what? Anyway…I’ve known Y/n for over a hundred years now. She’s got a temper i’ll tell you that much but around Jasper it’s not there for most people it is for me. Y/n never wanted us to mix with humans, that’s what led to what Emmett calls ‘The fall of Edweirdo’ whatever that means.
interviewer: What is that?
Well when i first met my wife she was human. The family were obviously sceptical but wanted to see me happy. All except Rose and Y/n. A heated argument broke out and we were all very angry with one another i couldn’t understand why they wanted me to suffer. They couldn’t understand how i could risk so much. Y/n used her powers on me. Part of Y/n’s charm is that she can influence behaviour and decisions. She decided that i would pull my pants down infront of my whole family and jump out of the window.
interviewer: And did you?
Of course i did, she made me. Eventually we had a heart to heart where i admitted i wanted what herself and Jasper have.
interviewer: And what do they have?
Total unconditional love and devotion to the other.
Y/n didn’t like me very much. She thought i was too obsessed with becoming a Vampire. And since i’m not Edward’s mate technically i’m his blood singer she couldn’t validate the need for the risk. She even voted no at my party.
interviewer: Did you think that she was coming from a good place?
At the time no. All i felt was hatred she didn’t want me to be apart of the family. Which i totally couldn’t understand Jasper can’t deal with human blood turning me into a vampire would solve that.
I then learned that she would have never chosen this life for herself neither would Rose. It was nice having people say no for me looking back. But, i still hold a tiny bit of resentment for that.
interviewer: What about now? What do you see when you look at them now?
They are just a normal couple? honestly i do not get the fuss.
‘I don’t know what i would be without her’ Jasper smiled at his mate. Y/n laughed ‘a train-wreck probably’ Jasper smirked ‘oh i don’t doubt that darlin’
Interviewer: it was lovely hearing all of this!
‘Anytime sweetheart you know where to find us’ Jasper winked.
'Oh Auntie Y/n…did you actually make my dad pull his pants down and jump out a window?'
Y/n let out a stifled laugh ‘Yes Renesme it was one of my finest moments’ Renesmes eyes lit up ‘Can you do it again?’ Y/n shot to her feet ‘oh i’ve been waiting for this’ Jasper shook his head in disbelief ‘Darlin go easy on him’ He yelled as he caught up to the pair.
Later that year Renesme Cullen released a best selling novel 'The Enchantress & The Empath: A love story for the ages.
