Excited Hopeful Shifter (hopefully soon)

about a month ago, i made a post saying: “hot girl summer? no, dummy it’s anguished woman autumn so are you coming to wander the moors with a lantern and a nightgown in the pouring rain or not because we leave at 8.”

for whatever reason, maybe timing or just it being october, the post completely blew up, which i have to admit, was very fun. it’s sitting now at 41k. but apparently, and very recently, that was suddenly not the case.

i began to receive a multitude of reblogs and comments accusing me of stealing from the black community, racism, and quite honestly the most outrageous of all, accusing me of faking my race. that i was actually a white woman pretending.

i don’t think i need to tell you how frustrating and anxiety enduring this was and still is. but apparently it needs to be said: i’m a black woman. i have a multitude of people on here who can attest to it. along with this, just because i am black, doesn’t mean that i’m into or know about everything within black communities, and the media that becomes part of the culture. i’m not on twitter or tik tok or whatever.

to play it fair, and to actually see what the problem was, i simply googled “hot girl summer” and to directly quote meghan’s interview with the root she did earlier this year:

“It’s just basically about women — and men — just being unapologetically them, just having a good-ass time, hyping up your friends, doing you, not giving a damn about what nobody got to say about it. You definitely have to be a person that can be the life of the party, and, y’know, just a bad bitch.”

so basically entirely what i thought. just having fun.

but apparently by making such a post about autumn in autumn, i slandered the holy name of meghan thee stallion. i’m not a fan of hers. i don’t listen to her music. but i’m fairly certain most people will agree with me that, fan or not, she isn’t christ.

to add insult to injury, the dozens and dozens of black people i’ve had to block in the past days accusing me of being white because “there’s nothing on your blog that says you’re black” is staggering and extremely painful. maybe y’all enjoy putting every facet of your lives into the internet, but i don’t. and just because i don’t doesn’t mean i’m faking my race. even a blog who attested that i am a black woman answered an ask replying that “people jumped the gun, yeah, but there’s nothing on her blog saying that she is black and it’s white behavior” (in reference to my post). i immediately blocked this person who believes in such disgusting ideology. there’s no behavior that is attributed to a specific race, period.

case in point: this person acknowledging and then…refusing to accept?

and then things took another turn, because it always does:

i don’t think i have to explain how deplorable this kind of behavior is, but as someone who has dealt with this in real life, it’s terrible and (*gasp*) triggering as hell. sincerely, i don’t feel safe anymore during the day anymore. i’m going to bed at 5pm because i don’t want to be awake. i wake up panicked. my hands start shaking at random times. i can’t talk to my family about this. it’s not as simple as “log off” when it’s hundreds of people spreading misinformation and accusations. again, i’ve dealt with this in real life it’s come back with a frustrating intensity.

for any of those who follow these folks, i suggest you keep your distance, considering they find suicide and suicide baiting to be justified, the funniest thing in the world, as well their #FAVE, i suggest blocking, and quite honestly, if needed, reporting.

if you want to reblog, it’s completely fine. if anything, i encourage you to because i’m probably not the only person who has dealt with this.

Lots of people accusing and demanding information from me. Lots of people giving me threats of various natures. I’m mixed race, mixed ethinicity, mixed origins (predominantly eastern european/Romani, middle eastern, and india). Culturally, I’m in a limbo because of my status as an adoptee.

You typically think of this reality as your 'main reality' of a sort — people usually use terms like Current Reality, Origin Reality, etc to describe here.

But that can make you feel almost cemented/stuck to this reality, as though this reality is the trunk and your DR's/all the other realities in existence are just branches you have to struggle to reach.

INSTEAD, you could try thinking of one of your DR's as being your actual Origin Reality/Current Reality — and thinking of this reality as just a branch. (Usually I see some people say to act as though you’re not connected to any reality at all, because you’re really not, but this way could feel more like tangible?)

First off, Chaos from a million angles at once. Children are thrilled. Pokémon enthusiasts are thrilled. People with way too much knowledge of how pokémon anatomy would supposedly work are terrified. People with bug phobias are terrified. God is real and it's a 4 legged white horse thing. There's fire breathing dragons.

Average people are going to try and start to catch them. How? We don't have pokeballs. Depends on the person. You've got your generic evil bad guys using like rope or whatever, and then there's optimistic people who watched the anime who are hoping they can convince a Bulbasaur to be their best friend by just giving it some food and a inspiring speech.

Laws are trying to get passed but no one really listening. Sorry boss, can't come to work today, my Ampharos is sick and I'm trying to stop it from overloading the cities power grid.

Big economy shift too! Who needs Uber when you can ride an Arcanine to work? World starts to (slowly and probably accidentally) change into more of what the pokemon Canon world is like. You're a electrician? Alright here's your rubber boots go out and catch a Togedemaru to help on the job. You like gardening? Lurantis to keep away the pests. Construction? Do I even need to tell you to get a Machamp?

I like to think there's going to be a sort of honor system with the pokemon. No pokeballs? Okay they have the power to chose their trainer and can leave if that trainer is shit. Suddenly you've got people who need protecting with a bodyguard in the form of a Pangoro vs some shitty dude who no pokémon will defend. Try and forcibly catch a pokemon that hates you? Buddy. That Pikachu alone could kill you. We're not in an anime, we don't have plot armor.

Clean water is suddenly more accessible, considering the amount of pokémon that can clean pollution in both water and air. Electricity is cheeper, when it's being generated by a volunteer's Jolteon who has adhd and can generate like a million watts an hour.

So I've seen a lot of talk about "clones" on shiftblr and shiftok. And as someone who not only wants to help novice shifters, but wants to have shiftblr be as accurate as possible, we need a new term.

I've so SO many shifters say things like "well what if my clone does something i don't like" or "how do I stop my clone" and it makes me realize that a lot of accounts aren't actually understanding what happens when you shift. So I propose the term bi-location.

We are a 19-year-old mixed-origin system. Most of us are nonhuman/identify as otherkin, some also fictionkin or therians. We're also astral travelers and pop culture paganists, so shifting is right up our alley.

We attempted reality shifting, found it worked, and figured we’d make a sideblog for it. This blog was also created to deal with a lack of information for shifting as a system. So far we've been successfully shifting since January 2021.

We're going by "R" on this blog for now, but that's liable to change.

As some of you might know Anthony Padilla (a big youtuber) is planning on releasing a YouTube video where he is asking shifters questions. This means that in a couple of weeks time (2 - 3) there will be a increase of trolls and anti-shifters all over the internet and just as badly there will be a lot of misinformation. for this reason i am all encouraging all of you to get prepared

Ways to prepare

1. Don't be afraid of the block button. Don't waste ur time on trolls!

2. Any information you find on the internet please do extensive research from MULTIPLE sources and don't be afraid to ask questions from trusted sources

3. For discord I recommend investing in temporary mods and look into bots

4. Try be welcoming to new shifters and try to debunk any misinformation they heard as it could be dangerous

5. Take time off the internet. The best way to avoid internet drama is getting off from the internet the places I recommend the most is definitely tiktok, discord and twitter

6. Warn other communities and other shifters. The best way to get through potential attacks is if we all stick together so that we can act fast and make sure everyone stays safe
