She then looked back at the cat, smiling as it got a little more comfortable with the food. "I mean, I really hope they aren't expensive. I just assumed it'd be food and cat litter.." Hopefully it wasn't much more than that. "I mean, I'm totally down to skip for a few meals for this little guy."

But the more that she thought about, the more she realized she never knew the name. "It goes like.. da da da da.." She started humming the tune, not remembering the exact words. "Shout! Put your hands up and .. Shout! Come on now.. shout!" Flora went on for a bit before tilting her head. "You have to know the song. I really wish they would play, I could totally get down to it."

Abel could enjoy people watching normally, but this place felt a little too full to really get the full experience out of it. He wasn't sure where it was Celia had run off to, not that he felt as though he needed to keep track of her. She was her own person with her own agendas and people to see. So with that, Abel stood off to the side, away from the packed dance floor and merely watched.
It is only at the appearance of the other does his outward expression change. It morphed into a look of recognition, confusion on trying to place where it was she knew her from before realizing and approaching. "Hey. Flora, right? You came in the other day to the comic book shop?"
Flora was on a mission to make her way back to the food table. It was yummy and always a place where she was meeting new faces. Though when she took a few more steps, she suddenly heard her name followed by a question. She took a quick look around before her eyes landed on a familiar face. "Oh, my gosh, hey!" Flora said as the past interaction filled her mind. "That's me! And you're.." She stared at him for a moment, searching all parts of her brain for his name. "Anthony.. No, Abraham.. You don't really look like an Abraham." Flora's head tilted to the side as she stared a moment longer. Then it hit her. "Abel! Mr. Comicbook Store owner!"
"I was just thinking about you earlier!" She added.
Caleb stayed put while she left, and he ceased trying to reach under and get the terrified kitten. The last thing he needed was for it to bolt and end up in front of a car that's moving rather than hiding behind the still wheel-well of his truck. He's almost surprised when she comes back, although relieved.
"Good, thanks for that."
Caleb peels the top off from the tab and places it down for the kitten to sniff. It's still skittish, but it's definitely taken interest.
"I'm not much of a cat person, I don't know how to read them, but I can't just leave this little guy running all around." Caleb catches when it crawls forward, wary but definitely hungry. "If I can get it to trust me enough to hold it, I can throw it in my truck and bring it to the animal rescue."

Flora silently sat and watched the kitten. It was scared but it seemed interested in the food which seemed like a good thing. She rested her head on her knee as she watched the poor thing.
She then thought about what he had said for a moment before speaking up. "I think I could take it in. "Flora told him, looking at him. "I mean, I'll have to smuggle it in tonight and talk to management tomorrow but I could always use a roomie." She looked sadly at the kitten again.

"Hey, you want one?" Bellamy was holding up two glasses of wine, one red and one white, leaving the decision up to her. "My table-mate ordered it for him and his date but they went off to...wherever the fuck, probably to fuck, and I'm not about to let wine go to waste."
"Oh, thank you." Flora perked up a bit with a smile on her face, taking the red wine from her. She then made a face. "Wow, it really is high school all over again, isn't it?" The girl took a sip of the wine, careful not spill it all over her white dress. "I guess people are feeling young and reminiscent."

"So, do have any dad jokes about prom?" Flora walked up the man and asked him curiously, tilting her head to the side. "The only prom joke I have is: 'Who did Dracula take to prom?'" She started, pausing for dramatic affect. "His ghoulfriend! But that's also.. just not very funny." Flora made a face at her own joke.

Flora couldn't help but laugh. "I'm so sorry.. That must've been super traumatic." She patted his back and though her tone was light, she was being serious. "Was she drunk or something? Or maybe seeing dolphins just puts her in a flirty mood."
"That's the least they can do." Kangmin said, chuckling lightly. He never understood how people could behave a certain way with those that are there to help them or simply do their job. "Those are typically the $5 tippers, though. But hopefully I'm wrong or they'll leave soon."
It was nice to be able to talk with a customer who seemed to understand what it was like to deal with over complicated guests and awful tippers. She smiled before talking, "I feel I'd be super lucky even getting five from them." Flora said with a sigh, her elbow leaning on the counter and her chin against her hand. "You seem very knowledgeable with bad tippers. Are you a server, too?" She asked curiously.
"Yeah, I feel like that's a huge thing about comics, like you really have to pay attention." Henry felt like he couldn't read them very well because he got too distracted. "Maybe there's some way to read them that I don't know about." He shrugged. "Sounds good." He wanted to keep the circulation modern. Comics seems pretty popular these days, but so did manga. "I do."
"Hm." Flora thought about what he said. Maybe she was reading it all wrong after all. "I never thought of it that way. Maybe I'll look up some 'comic reading tips'. Surely there has to be some out there, like a 'how-to' tutorial youtube video." She said with a small laugh. "How is it working at the Library? I feel it's gotta be so peaceful with it being quiet, right?"

"As you should. I mean, the internet never lies after all, right?" Bellamy had a wry smile on her lips as she said it too. "But like I said, personal experience can confirm that eating an entire pineapple makes your lips and tongue all tingly. Has great benefits though." She tacked on the end with a brighter, more playful grin. "I appreciate the support. But now, question's on you. What's your favorite? Or like...I dunno, what's the weirdest fact you know?"
"Heard it could also cause someone to go into labor, which is pretty crazy if you ask me." Surely that was all just coincidental. Or maybe a pineapple was a magical fruit. "I love mangos so much. The fruit, the flavor, the name. Everything about it. You can't ever ever go wrong with choosing mango." She said quite passionately. "My fun fact is they are sometimes known as the King of Fruit. Which I totally believe, I'd even bow down to one."

Flora thought about her suggestion a smile on her face. She then shook her head. "I'd say no, I don't think so. I highly doubt anyone would come in that this time! And if we did get in trouble.. We will just say 'oh sorry, my watch was wrong. I thought it was closing time'. Easy peasy."

"That must be exhausting to deal with." Kangmin said, casting a glance over at the group that had been a total nightmare for the past half hour. He couldn't imagine being the one to have to deal with people like that.
Flora looked at the man speaking at her, glanced back at the group he was talking about, then back at him. "It is pretty exhausting.." She said with a small laugh, pulling her notepad and pen out of her apron. "But it's not anything I'm not used to. I just have to keep walking over with a smile and hope this nightmare will eventually end." She lowered her voice at the last part. "And pray they tip good, of course."
