I love the fact that when adapting The Lost Boys into a musical the writers saw how in the movie they tricked Michael into drinking David’s blood and went: hey what if David just slit his hand right in front of Michael and said would you drink this and be with me forever? And Michael was like hell yeah.
⚠︎ THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE LOST BOYS! ⚠︎
TW: ABUSE, SUICIDAL IDEATION, DISCUSSIONS OF WAR, AND GENERATIONAL TRAUMA
DISCLAIMER: THE MAJORITY OF THIS ABRIDGED LORE IS WRITTEN WITH THE MUSICAL TIMELINE INTENDED HOWEVER IT IS HIGHLY FLEXIBLE FOR MOVIE BLOGS AND OCS AND MAY CHANGE WITH TIME FOR VARIOUS REASONS!
“At his core he’s a-a really broken person who used to be really good. His whole thing is he just wants to fix people. Which he doesn’t realize is just him running away from working on himself. It’s an empathy that has been tainted.”
“but I think what makes David effective is having an Orpheus inside of him, like a Russian doll - like, this sweet little boy who wants to fix the world, but somewhere along the way he got really f—ed up.”
𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝟷𝟾𝟿𝟶𝚜.⋆♱⃓ (Early life)
David was born in San Francisco, California in 1890 to his two parents. Both of his parents were immigrants, a part of the first period of Arabs to immigrate to America in the 1880s where their son was born to escape military conscription and find better economic opportunities for the family as a whole. Like a lot of families at the time, David’s family lived in downtown San Francisco, close to the train station, and owned a small business down there-selling imported goods to try and capitalize off American’s fascination with “exotic cultures” that felt so far away from them.
For a lot of children of first generation immigrants, it can be normal to feel familial and personal expectations to make the sacrifices of the parents to bring them there “worth it” and David was no exception to this-His dad in particular being worse about it than his mom…Once the boy got old enough to work (beginning his period as a living salesman) and become more of a part of his community there was a gnawing feeling inside of him that he didn’t belong. Both too American for a lot of the other Arab families around him from being raised there and too Arab for a lot of the Americans that came into his family’s shop. All of these pressures began to feel like they were mounting up, to be everything everyone wanted him to be at once.
So, he began to escape into music. Taught himself how to play guitar and fell in love with the instrument. Always strumming and humming whenever he could, still too scared and shy to sing yet…Even back then, as a young teenager he always knew this was what he wanted to do forever if he could. Help the world with that song in his heart. As much as he wanted to love the community he lived in with all his heart, his heart always called to play…to something more than this life promised and for a long time he was lucky enough to do both…Convey all the things he couldn’t say or do through this instrument in his hands until one day he had the right words-
𝟷𝟿𝟶𝟼.⋆♱⃓ (The San Francisco Earthquake)
David was 16 at the time when the earthquake struck California on Wednesday, April 18, 1906 at 5:12 am. The earthquake resulted in millions of dollars in damage, 498 deaths in San Francisco alone, hundreds of thousands homeless, and 28,000 destroyed buildings at the time. It had been luck on his side that his family had made it out alright, mostly unscathed by the tragedy-lots of lives in the community disrupted but ultimately stable enough to endure.
What wasn’t so lucky however was that, while a survivor of it himself, David lost someone that day…A friend, an older sister like figure in his life. The two of them liked to play together and let the world burn in the background of their shared song. Her leg was crushed under debris. After that? The boy rarely played anymore, like music burned him worst than the California sun could. The songs they used to play sounded so empty without her a part of it anymore. The incident left him in grief and trauma for years, suddenly aware now of how everything he could ever love could be taken away from him by how cruel and unforgiving the world truly was-
𝟷𝟿𝟷𝟶𝚜.⋆♱⃓ (World War l and Eventual Turning)
Eventually David was drafted to fight in the war to end all wars once it broke out, leaving it all behind and being shipped off overseas to serve in the Zone of Advance at the front lines of the war in France. He served for a whole year before eventually being discharged from fighting due to blighty wounds. While he had good motivations in wanting to fight for a better world there were selfish ones too-it finally gave him an excuse to run. Run from his family…Run from his loss…The war provided him a heroic way of getting away from what he wanted to most. This attempt at escape ultimately backfired once he actually got there.
In his time fighting, the boy saw a lot of things that scarred him for life. If losing his beloved friend in the earthquake soured his world view, the war sealed it in his bones forever. Every man he ever met fighting killed or wounded forever, fighting a never ending war they couldn’t win. All dying “for nothing” in the end. It was like he had never really came back from it, mind and body still fighting in it even 70 years later when he knows it’s all over now.
After being discharged, in spite of the injuries, the boy decided not to go home, instead running away from his family more permanently. Now too ashamed and scared to go back to his own father after failing to fight until his final breath knowing it probably wouldn’t end well for him with how the old man acted. Moving to another part of the Bay Area to escape that life that had been weighing him down so long.
David eventually got another job at a different store in a different town, far away from asshole dads and high expectations of him. His new employer, a guy with glasses named Max took a paternal interest in him, treating him like he was his own son and becoming his caretaker at the time-the first key around David’s neck belonging to that apartment they shared together at the time. He wasn’t quick to trust him but when they finally found their footing everything started to feel good again. Like the boy had finally found somewhere to belong…But, David’s injuries were proving worse than the doctors thought they would and time was running out for him. Seemed like he was destined to die young-
No, no…no! He’d already come so far, he ran away from everything he’s ever known and watched so many people he cared about die for it all to come to this? David tried everything he could to delay the inevitable with the time he had left, including and mainly, dabbling into alchemy and witchcraft to try-but it was ultimately for not. He’d been running for so long now but every road has to end eventually…
One night, Max and him were sitting in their living room. The older man worried about his condition too. “David, I think of you like my own boy, you know? My own flesh and blood.” And he asked the boy what he would do if he had unlimited time in the world, listening patiently and kindly. Told him it was unfair for him to be robbed of so much time they could’ve had together. Asking a final question and the one that sealed his fate: if he could escape it all and start again as something new would he want to? David, oblivious to the weight of Max’s words, said he’d give anything to have that.
And so the man offered him a drink to take his pills with before going to sleep and Max taking over the night shift like he always did at that hour-
When David woke up the next day, he felt fine? A miraculous recovery had been made. Like he’d never been sick at all-It felt too good to be true at the time…But, as the days went on he felt stranger and stranger-the sun burned too bright, water lightly scolding no matter the temperature…suffering vivid and violent hallucinations of the war and earthquake, of his own father all being written off by the locals as a symptom of being “shell shocked”. In his terror Max eventually told him the truth: he was turning into a vampire.
He tried his best to cure his condition or at least, use what he had to keep him from feeding but Max told him there was no cure unless he died. And even as angry and betrayed as he was, David, still trying to be good at heart-didn’t have it in him to kill his sire even if he wanted to. He’d already been trying to make it out of this without losing anyone else in his life…killing anymore people.
But, the pacifism only lasted a month before David gave into it and fed. Someone completely innocent, a homeless person displaced by the earthquake all those years ago-there was no justification for it, she’d just asked him for a little bit of money on the wrong night. David had been seen by someone as he fed, revealing the existence of vampires to the town. As he walked back home that night, covered in blood it became clear to Max they were going to have to flee somewhere else if they wanted any chance at living in normalcy now.
He didn’t know it yet but this new arrangement as a vampire would lead David, having already escaped one abusive dad into being trapped with another, a lot of his possessive tactics and his own style of turning people coming from Max’s own behaviors rubbing off on him for the worst combined with a desperation to keep people close by any means necessary so he doesn’t have to lose anyone else ever again.
𝟷𝟿𝟹𝟶-𝟷𝟿𝟺𝟶𝚜 (Moving Around/Musical!Marko route)
And so David began to move around for a while, trying to live in various places alone but never making it that far. (A lot of it David’s fault more than Max’s who proved to be more settled and civilized.) For each failed place he went he kept a memento, flavored by a fondness and nostalgia for each era and time of his life. The newly turned was already beginning to distance himself from his sire. (This divide only growing worse with time.) But for all of his attempts at independence, Max was never really far behind…And David too held a grudge any time he thought Max might replace him with someone else, some new and shinier boy. (It was unlikely to ever actually happen, but that’s what his head said.) This developed into a highly volatile dynamic where David grew more resentful and possessive even as much as he wanted to get away from Max. Both too dependent on each other as much as the boy hated him for it.
Eventually all this moving around lead them both to Santa Carla, where they’d finally settle for eternity. Santa Carla, had always had an eccentric history, one of vampires and strange people. Where other places became unsafe quickly for their kind Santa Carla never doubted…Never judged.
David’s hangout of choice was the Coronado, the old ironworks that got hit by the earthquake back in the day, closing it down for good. The young vampire hung around there a lot as a way of feeling closer to the friend he lost that day all those years ago-and in a twisted memorial for his first victim he tried to black out. Ever the sentimental kind he made his home there for them in their honor.
But, it didn’t take long for the boy to grow lonely. All he really had was Max, otherwise? He was alone as much as he hated to admit it. The longer he lived the more dull everything became, the more the world itself blurred, each feeding mattering to him less than the last. Where in the past he felt like he had too much to live for to die, now he felt like he had too much to die for to keep on living. A lot of suicidal behaviors began to kick in-both out of a desperate craving for something new and above all: exciting to make it all worth it again and a thinly veiled resentment that no injury could really inflict any damage on him.
What he needed was a purpose, something to live for…something to belong to that made this “gift” become less of a curse again-
Then one night, he met a boy in need of saving on the boardwalk. The boy had come from a similarly toxic family environment and David saw a lot of himself in him. In that familiarity…in that heroic need to help him from his past in the war, he saved the boy’s life and turned him too. Now he wasn’t alone anymore, he had Marko too and in that his life found purpose again. In showering other people in the gifts he got, leading them to happiness and freedom, protecting them, belonging through them…
He realized it wasn’t too late to make his own family in place of the ones that failed him, one that adored him and he could blind himself from the realities of what he was feeling inside with. Never have to be weak or abandoned when you’re the one in charge…
One night on the beach Marko began strumming his guitar and David hummed along. After a lot of egging him on he began to sing too, for the first time in front of another person. (The song he sang would become what we know as “Time to Kill” in the show, but had started as a quiet mantra between the two to pass some time together.) Marko in a shocking turn of events, encouraged him to continue. The two playing together almost every night afterwards…Starting out as something sweet between them that would only grow from there.

In 1955 David was standing at a bus stop in Santa Carla, smoking when he saw another boy smoking there too. The boy-Marko Thompson had come from New York, a runaway turned out on the street beat up with a bloody nose and a black eye after punching his abusive and homophobic father. The vampire asked if he was lost, the conversation leading them both to drift from the crowd around them, lost in each other with David embracing him, seeing himself in the boy completely and wanting to help him too the way he’d been helped before. A voice full of promise as he said he’d give the boy something to live for-his freedom.
"Your choice, Marko..you wanna keep hiding, or you wanna show the world who you really are?"
Marko was turned that night, over time slowly growing more accustomed to the now trio with Dwayne (movie timeline) and finding himself in creative expression, making clothes, longer hair and appearing more traditionally feminine and openly queer whenever he could. Fully developing both a romantic and sexual relationship with his sire that has lasted into the modern band and the 80s-even through their relationship with their other partners Rose and Michael now respectively.
𝟷𝟿𝟼𝟶𝚜.⋆♱⃓ (@rocknrollercoastin!Dwayne)
Lore courtesy of mod: @abottleofsquash
During the early 1960s David and Marko went to listen to a band play and found their eyes drawn to the bassist of the band. He had a talent the others didn’t, a knack for something special. When they got to know him the boy-Dwayne, (musical timeline) was a homeless addict, originally from Cleveland, Ohio now jumping place to place in an attempt to make it big that wasn’t going well for him. David could tell underneath it all, that love of music and that ego that he was really struggling too and offered him help in return with Dwayne accepting, unaware at the time what it really meant to be accepting the vampire’s help.
While shocked and horrified at the start, he’d already been through hell and back by now that he didn’t care as much as you would expect him to-Finding his footing by sobering up, picking his feeds more carefully, and becoming the glue that holds the group together.
𝟷𝟿𝟽𝟶𝚜.⋆♱⃓ (Musical!Paul)
Every band needs a drummer…and there’s was Paul. Like Dwayne before him they found the boy in a band, instead this time? It was no accident they were looking for a drummer to compete their band and so they found it. Paul’s father was a blues musician and the one who got him into music, their relationship ultimately falling apart as well over the boy’s burning desire to play rock instead. He was the easiest to convince of the three due to his own nature-mainly being taken in by the concept of playing forever with the boys and getting to stick it to his own dad.
(If this section seems short it’s because I imagine them meeting Paul like this one scene from The Muppets [2011])
𝟷𝟿𝟾𝟼.⋆♱⃓ (Musical!Star)
The Lost Boys, now a fully formed and popular band in town who perform regularly to a roaring crowd of fans one night after a show finds a desperate girl on the brink of death…An addict. The girl didn’t have a dad and her mom was a handful to say the least. Abandoned and alone, the girl had bounced from place to place, always on the run before ending up in Santa Carla that night…Barely alive from her addiction.
David, drawn to a surviver when he sees one and taken in by her spirit and how bright she burns even at the worst of times offers her “eternal happiness, a love that never dies, and a way to make it through the night before her time runs out” if she’ll take it-which she does. Now a half-vampire stuck between immortality and ruin, the fiery girl, Star has been avoiding feeding for the first time. Not unusual for the newly undead who want to keep some morality to them…(like he had before her) But, David is growing both increasingly frustrated and worried about Star’s stalling. Knowing she’s eating birds and anything but what she should be. The two now not only bandmates but in some form of complex emotional and sexual relationship with each other that had only grown sour and hostile with time.
He knows her time is running out and knows too well what happens to vampires who refused to eat like the rest of them do…
𝟷𝟿𝟾𝟽.⋆♱⃓
One night in the summer during a set, David and Star see a boy in the crowd. New and fresh to Santa Carla who couldn’t take his eyes off either of them during the show that night. David, seeing opportunity knocking on her door encourages Star to go on after him and see what happens…Maybe she’ll finally have her first meal with a push in the right direction for it.
“At the same time, he's a victim of this. He's so lonely — he also wants a family and to belong to someone. He has so much trauma, and instead of allowing himself to be loved, he's gonna manipulate people and force an idea of family around him, until he realizes that isn't possible.”
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— Like Ali, David is of Arabic descent. Historically a lot of Arab names, including family names were lost or dropped due to language barriers of the time, meaning “David” is likely not his birth name and he dropped his real last name long before becoming a vampire. (If he were to have either of his headcanoned film last names though it would be Williams)
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— Pansexual, polyamorous, and very willing to explore it.
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— Not a natural blonde but brunette (hence his roots, we know it’s possible for the musical vampires to make cosmetic changes post-turning through Dwayne’s “Coronado” tattoo.) his hair was curly in life but got fried due to the consistent bleaching over the years. (I think he resembled Esper a lot in life but had a lot of Orpheus in him too)
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— Due to the alchemy symbol on the back of his coat, he’s likely some type of an alchemist or practiced.
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— Love languages are psychical affection and words of affirmation. (Love bombing is a consistent tactic of his to make you feel special)
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— He’s been alive so long he’s become easily bored and lonely even if it’s buried under a facade of bravado and predatory behavior. Anything that makes him excited though, makes him very excited. (Hence why he likes to play with his food so much.)
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— Speaking of feeding, while he’s quick to play with his meals mentally and lives for the adrenaline of the chase, he doesn’t enjoy watching people suffer in extreme physical pain unless necessary or he despises them. (Or if it’s in the bedroom) Reminds him too much of his own suffering and trauma.
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— He’s very cryptic and hard to read, even the other boys don’t always know what he’s thinking and he doesn’t make it easy on them. While very close and caring with them he’s not one to share his emotions and can be quite withdrawn, keeping to himself more than the others in spite of his loyalty to them. Not personal. Just another trauma response from the living life he acts like doesn’t bother him anymore to mask what he’s really running from emotionally. (He’s also known to deflect conversations about his past onto others and what they want so he doesn’t haven’t to be vulnerable.)
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— A serial fixer to the end, finds people who remind him of himself and looks to fix his problems in them. It never fills the void completely though it is fun for a while. He preaches freedom but is, ironically controlling and will try to make decisions for you and convince you to follow his lead while also claiming you can make your own decisions and you’re free to do whatever you want.
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— Highly possessive of anything that “belongs to him” (part of the reason he killed Pete outside the obvious was jealously about him being like another son figure to Max. He won’t admit that part though.) Also rather touchy and affectionate with said people and things.
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— Doesn’t take well to instructions and is more likely to rebel and be defiant but with a different, quieter and more violent retribution than the other boys who are more young and rambunctious than him.
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— Because he sleeps with his mouth agape upside down he is teased for how he sleeps but he doesn’t mind it too much.
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— Loves flying the most of the gang, being able to fly as a human or bat makes him feel freer than anything else in the world. (His bat form is a piebald grey-headed flying-fox bat btw)
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— When it comes to human foods he’s a very unpicky eater, will eat just about anything and due to his cryptic nature it’s hard to tell if he actually likes it or not.
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— Has a tendency of nibbling on the rims of bottles or straws like a teething child. It’s one of his more unattractive traits but he somehow makes it look cool anyway.
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— He’s been playing music his entire life, partially because he likes it but also as a form of self-expression and as a coping mechanism to convey feelings he tries to bury in a safer way for him. He has played various styles and can play multiple instruments but finds rock most cathartic as it’s the loudest and can be as personal or impersonal as he wants. He likes the power in that.
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— He’s also gravitates to performers and teaching people music for that reason, to teach them his way of expression and freedom.
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— Feels most in control of himself on stage or in this rockstar persona. (Which he’s crafted after a century of experience and deliberately modeled after other rockers. There’s a reason he wears a band shirt during HTHY-The guy is an idea sponge.)
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— Very patient until he’s not, then you better run if you know what’s good for you. He will blame your defiance and play victim for whatever happens to you too. (He gave you everything/let you be apart of something/why didn’t you take it)
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— Also more than willing to literally and metaphorically feed you to the wolves if necessary.
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— Generally isn’t afraid of showing some skin but there are parts of his body due to trauma he’s less willing to show. He claims vampirism heals all wounds but it’s done nothing for his trauma even though he acts like it has.
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— There’s a lot more humanity to him than he lets on but he doesn’t just show it to anyone besides close romantic connections like Star, Michael, Marko, ect.
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— He mellows out when high, but gets very high and feral after a feeding ironically.
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— Finds being slapped both triggering and highly erotic.
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— PTSD from the earthquake and the war, fearful attachment style, and HPD (Vivacious histrionic type) from his growing up.
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— Scorpio with a lot of Leo in him
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— Neutral good in life, chaotic evil in death
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— If we’re discussing an au where him and the other boys live past the final battle he has a small puncture mark in his stomach as a reminder of the event, a hole he can never fill left by Star and Michael.
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— While most of his injuries have healed himself as part of the transformation into the undead, due to being sickly towards the end of his living life certain symptoms did remain more permanently in his vampiric state (mainly his sunken eyes and gaunt face. Doesn’t really get better with sleep or feeding no matter how much he’s tried)
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— In some ways, an old soul and highly mature “for his age” in other ways very immature and prone to still acting like a teenager that never grew up.
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— Terrible about physical space and boundaries.
‧˚꒰🦇꒱༘‧— Very cat-like in a lot of ways (hissing, purring, scratching with claws)
‧˚꒰🍷꒱༘‧— Has a small olive branch tattoo on his right wrist from his living life, got it after being dispatched from the war to symbolize peace, a new beginning for him, and his connection to his heritage. Now in his vampiric life it’s almost always covered up by his wrist cuffs or a jacket of some kind.
“He cares so much about looking for people who he sees himself in. He wants to give them these gifts, these powers, so they can free themselves from whatever situation they’re going through”
*OCs will be added in time or if their lore is requested to be added. Canon character lore tidbits are also flexible depending on the blog’s mains as well as if they are movie or musical timeline and their intended lore with David!
Star: Star is…an anomaly in a lot of ways for David. She’s a human he wants to help who hasn’t taken to his help the way the others did before and after her. He enjoys performing with her, riding with her, and her being around. Genuinely missing her when she starts skipping shows in his own weird little way. But, he worries about what will happen to her if she doesn’t go the whole way. David is at his most human and vulnerable with Star, she knows him better than she has any right to. She’s seen the worry he feels, she can always tell what he’s up to even when the other boys don’t follow as well. He feels a kindred spirit and emotional connection with her, about as much of one as he can still make. Which is why he needs her to stay. He wants her to be happy and thinks the only way she can be is with him, Michael, and her as a family together. He doesn’t understand why she can’t do it. Why she doesn’t have it in her to take that last step when he’s given her everything she should ever need…what him and the boys ever needed. She’s his shooting star in the night, there and burns bright when she is but gone in the blink of an eye.
Michael Emerson: If Star is an anomaly then Michael is a goddamn hurricane to his world. First only seeing Michael as food for Star or him and the boys he quickly takes a great interest in the boy. He had been in a similar place as Michael long ago and sees a lot of that scared and cynical boy he was in the new blood. When you’ve been around as long or have seen as much of the world as David has it’s rare to find something new and interesting, that keeps his attention. Michael is that new and interesting thing keeping his attention he grows determined to keep…To cherish as someone who belongs to him. He feels a connection to Michael unlike anyone else he’s ever known. Wanting to “save” him from this life that’s “weighing him down” like the life he used to have and make him a part of something. A part of him…forever if he chooses to be. He really does care for Michael, but it’s a care built on possessiveness and obsession which can quickly take a turn into the toxic. He wants to be everything the boy ever needs.
Marko: While unlikely to admit it so easily if asked, the boy in the group he’s closest to emotionally would be Marko. He sees a part of himself in all three boys he chose and for Marko it was his desire to be wild and free in a world judging him for it. Not that he thought there was anything wrong with Marko, he accepted every little quirk about the boy as much as he accepted every quirk in himself. He’s enraptured by how much the boy adores him, how willing he is to follow him to the end and be controlled. Not by force, but because he wants it. They both get off on this arrangement between the two, doting but aggressive leader and master and his subservient pet. But, underneath it all there’s a respect and understanding between them that makes it something deeper, something real.
Dwayne (Movie): Dwayne is the closest thing to a second in command David would accept due to them being about the same age. The dark, quiet, brooding kind who’s known to be a little playful too and tries to cut up with. For all his brooding Dwayne’s never too stiff lipped to have some fun with them. He likes that about him. He sees a part of himself in all three boys he chose and for Dwayne it was his maturity and willingness to take charge, so long as he never challenged his authority which he knew better than to do by now. They get stoned a lot, they’re the only two of the boys who seem to have quieter highs. Dwayne doesn’t always get what David’s planning but tries to respect it. Emphasis on “tries.” (Can be movie!Dwayne or musical!Marko depending on what’s needed for the blog’s plot)
Dwayne (Musical): Dwayne is the middle sibling and a little ball of energy, a lovable chaotic being. He doesn’t always take well to the amount of ego the boy has but it’s clearly all in good fun to him. In actuality he admires Dwayne’s loyalty above all else. While he struggles to admit it to him-David may be the leader, but Dwayne is the glue that holds them all together when it really comes down to it. The group would’ve gotten into many a worse fight if it had not been for him.
Paul (Movie): “Twisted sister” Paul is the youngest and most outgoing and friendly to humans. Having the best relationship with Star. He sees a part of himself in all three boys he chose and for Paul it was that inviting nature when the world didn’t deserve it. Since he’s the youngest he doesn’t have as much shared history with Paul. But, he’s still a brother in vampirism until the end.
Max: His sire, the head vampire, and his pseudo second father. He’s known Max the longest of anyone and is highly perceptive of him. They’re not so different in some ways either-both obsessed with an Emerson family member, both calling the others “their boys”. The differences lie in personality. Where Max is put together and clean cut, David is wild and the kind of rebellious teen/young adult most parents would dread being stuck with. (If it’s movie!Max, their relationship has more positive shades-Max saved him from an abusive father in life and tries to provide care and structure in his own way even if it doesn’t always work. If it’s musical!Max their relationship is more abusive and toxic, with David being trapped in the cycle of abuse he’s perpetrating for a third go around.)
That’s all for now folks! If you made it to the end. Respect???? Also you’re crazy.
