just spent a couple of days remixing and sorting the transitions out on my Cybercunt 2077 playlist, it's not super perfect, and some of the transitions aren't very pretty, but if you're looking for something dark and techno to work/chill/fuck/dance/stomp-around-the-city to, you might like it.

I don't know how to feel about the new Mastodon stuff with Brent gone, like, Crack the Skye will always be the pinnacle of their sound for me. everything after that just felt like they could never reach those heights again. And that could totally just be nostalgia talking, but I listened to it again recently, and fuck, it still sounds fresh, powerful and haunting.
His playing on their early records and especially Crack the Skye was such an inspiration for me as a player, but he's gone, and i'm hearing this new stuff and a huge part of me wants to like it actually, like it's genuinely fucking good and the band feels like they are inspired again, there's a fire under them, but fuck I wish we lived in an alternate timeline where brent had gotten help, and the band had listened to him about just taking some breaks, and he was still here with us and with them. I'm sure the other guys wish that too though hey.

i just watched the first ep of the new Ghost in the Shell show, holy shit 😳 the op and ed songs gave me chills, it was funny as hell, and the vibe of the show was exactly what i've been wanting since I first read the manga. It's gonna be divisive for sure, some people are just not going to like it, but i'm fully sold
