i don’t think a lot of people understand how important it is to me that Ryland Grace, the main character from a popular book and movie, being commonly headcanoned as aroace with little to no romance involved. his relation to rocky as a companion and best friend is the relationship that people talk about the most. the power of friendship saved the day with no unnecessary b-plot romance. local man loved humanity and his alien best friend so much he saved both of their galaxies and planets. that’s so awesome, sometimes i’d never thought i’d see something like this

Loustat is so fun to watch because they absolutely deserve each other. and not in a 'your life has been so difficult, you have earned this lovely fairy tale happy ending'. they deserve each other because they are both equally terrible and selfish and monstrous and beautiful and funny and rich and just generally horrific. They deserve each other because no one else should have to put up with them and they are truly soulmating too close to the sun. I love them. They are so awful. this show is the best

Thinking about "You're have no immediate family. You dont even have a dog." And like duh thats devestating, but theres also the fact that the people telling him this are people hes been working with for 4 years at this point. Theres this quiet implication thats not just "you have no family no pets and no partners therefore you have no one to leave behind" its also "we, your coworkers who you might have called friends and who have been at your side while we all save the world for close to half a decade, are not close enough to you to even be mentioned in Stratts little speech. We will not stop this, we wont even protest or apologize. You have no friends at you side in your final moments." And i think thats even more heartbreaking honestly.
