Was just doing some touching up on these guys before moving them to a new spot and thought they looked picture perfect together :P All 3 are cast in platinum silicone, painted with psychopaints @smoothon. Wun Wun the giant is hair punched with human hair, eyes made by me. Alita has a suitable cosplay wig, semi punched, with eyes made by @fourthsealstudios. Her base stand is cold cast aluminium and iron. Kreacher is hair punched with human hair (what little he has left), and his eyes are glass, dug up out of a pre ww2 glass factory basement in Germany, hidden from the Soviet invasion (interesting story they've got). The moulds came out super clean on these, so I am capable of making more.... if someone gives me good reason to (wink wink, nudge nudge, PM me if interested). BGFx did a great job with all the practical effects. I thought I'd try to honour the fallen giant with my own attempt at recreating him. Pretty sure they had a whole team of professionals working on him, but I did this entirely by myself, mostly done in my kitchen (any pros out there, I'm riding solo and would love to get some real experience outside of my kitchen!). He's made of platinum silicone (deadened), psycho paints @smoothon, human hair, and the eyes I made myself from resin, glass, alcohol paints, etc. The video shows the whole process, so do please go give it a watch and let me know what you think. Just made these up, trying a new eye making technique. Very pleased with the results so far. I needed to create a standardized system so my eyes have a known reproducible size and shape, for quality and recreation purposes (for the busts). Before now, all the eyes I was making by hand were one of a kind sets, so the size and shape may have varied, which is a problem if someone wants a bust with eyes set in, as the next pair of eyes may not fit as well as the last. These new ones are still made by hand, but the sclera and iris are fit to a standard uniform size and shape, depending on what is needed. Those are all 32mm scleras, with either 16 or 14mm iris. If anyone is wanting some eyes, fire me a pm and maybe we can work a deal. HBO selected 18 artists from around the world, sending each a prop from the show to use to create an original artwork. They selected me, giving me Daenerys's dragon necklace, and asked me to do a Greco Roman style bust for it, for their #forthethrone campaign. That being said, this took me waaaay out of my comfort zone. You all know I usually do creatures, characters, monsters and the like, so this was a first in many ways. Amazing sculptors like @ameliarowcroftsculpture Will tell you how incredibly difficult it is to capture a young females likeness, and this was my first try at this kind of sculpting (Amelia is a MASTER at portraits, go check out her work!). My newest sculpt, Kreacher, from the Harry Potter series! As far as I know, they made a physical silicone prop of Dobby, but never made one for Kreacher. I fixed that 😁 Loved how this turned out. This silicone is some serious next level stuff, and the chavant was great to use for the first time. Officially like chavant over monsterclay now that I've had the chance to use both.
