Being a huntess, and a powerful one at that, didn't leave Glynda much room for a love life. And even when she did get a chance, the only ones that seemed interested were mainly for her power.
Being the youngest of 8 children meant that Jaune was well versed in some areas when it came to women, but very naive when it came to others. Didn't help that his self-esteem was low due to how people tended to use him to get to his sisters.
Thanks to all this, Jaune has what Glynda wants; someone who wants her for her not her power. Jaune loves Glynda for her, not her position of semblance
And Glynda has what Jaune needs. Someone who loves him and him alone. Someone who isn't using him to get to someone else.

"You're dating Goodwitch?!"
Jaune lets out a heavy exhale, hearing the tone of disapproval and shock from his friends. The aspiring swordsman was busy putting on a black tux, trying to tie a bowtie. Being the only son of eight children, Jaune was well-versed in some areas when it came to women. But the young man was naive when it came to others, and his low self-esteem exacerbated matters. Plus, in the past, before coming to Beacon, claimed to be his friend to get close to one of his sisters. As he failed at tying the bowtie, Ren approached his friend, assisting him.
"Jaune," Ren spoke, "is there a way to talk some sense into you?"
"I'm not crazy, Ren," Jaune replies to his friend. "I love her, and I think she loves me."
"That's the problem," Weiss said, "you THINK she loves you. You and thinking haven't been well." She folds her arms over her bust, "Remember when your attempts at courting me?"
"Remember your 'friendship' with Cardin?" Ruby spoke up, her tone filled with concern.
"Guys," Jaune turns to his team and Team RWBY, "I'm 18! I'm practically a grown man! This is my decision, and Glynda's not like that!"

"Glynda, you're making a serious mistake."
Glynda Goodwitch was occupied with observing herself in the mirror, wearing a strapless purple dress. The busty Huntress was powerful, rivaling the infamous Raven Branwen and the late Summer Rose. But it didn't leave her much room for a love life, and when she did meet someone who seemed interested, it was always for her power. She groaned as she heard the voice of Ozpin, turning to face the silver-haired man in dark green.
"Really, Ozpin?" Glynda said with an annoyed glance, "Especially coming from someone who made many mistakes?"
"I am saying," the Headmaster of Beacon said, "that you're his teacher, and this courtship isn't exactly looked upon fondly."
"I love Jaune," the Huntress says with a sigh, "and he genuinely loves me for me, not for my ability as a Huntress or a means of getting me for an agenda. Genuine love," she looks down at the white flower she got from Jaune.
Shiver: In my defense, I was left unsupervised.
Marie: Wasn’t Frye with you?
Frye: In my defense, I was also left unsupervised.
Pearl: Everybody shut up, I'm thinking.
Marie, patting her on the back: Well, don’t think too hard. I wouldn’t want you to hurt yourself.
Gracie let out an exhausted sigh as she sat down at her desk. Today had been one video after another, even her lunch break was cut short. She desperately needed this small reprieve. Opening one of her bottom drawers, she pulled out a bottle of bourbon and a glass.
"Just need to relax a little" She mumbled, screwing the top off the bottle. Gracie paused for just a few seconds, staring at the glass in her hand.
"Ah screw it!" She exclaimed, placing the glass back in the drawer before bringing the bottle to her lips and chugging the whiskey down. Taking pleasure in the warm and burning feeling as it went down. She didn't drink much, just enough to help take the edge off her stress.
"Alright, I should be good... Hopefully I don't much paperwork this time"
Gracie didn't even get to the first paper when Leith Pierre's voice came over the intercom.
"GRACIE GREEN! YOU GET YOUR BUTT UP TO MY OFFICE THIS INSTANT"
Gracie flinched at how pissed he sounded. Whatever happened, it couldn't have been good. She tried to think of anything she could have done to warrant him being this angry, but nothing was coming to mind. With great nervousness, she made her way to his office

Stepping inside Gracie was greeted with both Pierre and some scientist she'd never seen before, but worked with the toys judging by their outfit.
"Ah Gracie" Pierre said as she walked in "please sit down, I was just told the most interesting thing."
Gracie gulped nervously as she walked in. Pierre did not look happy one bit. Once seated, Pierre continued. Looking at the other person.
"Why don't you tell us what happened earlier"
"Well i was monitoring the Craftycorn that I was assigned to. Watching as she was finger?... hoof?... she was painting a pretty picture when the lights suddenly went out. That's when I heard her exclaim 'Shit! I can't see my painting'. When I asked where she had heard that word. She told me that she heard Ms. Gracie say it after she had fallen down."
Both Pierre and the other looked at Gracie (who had the decency to look sheepish)
"Care to explain yourself?" Leith looked at Gracie, leaning forward.
"Alright in my defense I was given the signal that the feed had been cut. And when I went to leave, I accidentally tripped over one of the cables"
Hearing this Leith let out a frustrated groan and placed his head in his hands
"J-just go back and finish what you were doing and next time you better make sure that everything is off before breaking character"
Glynda: Hey Jaune want to eat what my mom made?
Jaune: What did she make?
Glynda: *sultry tone* Me
Jaune: *takes a few moments to register before his face goes red blushing*
