Fantastic idea
Article about it here.Β
whatβs important to note and missing from the βheadlineβ tweet is that they simultaneously constructed additional good public transit to the public transit already in the city (bus rapid transit, train stations). Just removing highway alone isnβt going to make traffic better, the bigger part of the story is that they improved public transportation. And the current mayor wants to do more - cyclist lanes and reinstate a tram system

Freakinβ awesome. We live in anaheim so our boys got to enjoy the all-access Disneyland Daily pass. Our youngest (Tanner) wanted to be an officer. Unfortunately he was too small for the restraints on splash mountain so when the coaster sped up it flung him out and he skidded about 200 feet on the asphalt. Hereβs what weβre keeping him in right now:
Disney wonβt let us bury on park grounds because of a potential copyright issue with the superman thing.
We miss him a lot, but thereβs a cancellation fee on the Daily pass, so weβve been making the most of it. His brother still enjoys the park and since we chose not to press charges, weβre entitled to one free mickey pancake a day
??? Reading that looked like you tried to copy abd paste 3 differint stories together to make us not realise you just copied and pasted??
First of all: splash mountain is a water log ride. There are no places where it justβ¦speedsβ¦up? Its a fucking water log ride???
BECAUSE its a water log ride it DOESNT HAVE RESTRAINTSβ¦.it DOES however have a minimum height requirment of 46 inches to ride the ride, so EVEN IF this kid was too small, they WOULD NOT let them ride.
There is no asphault anywhere near the track itself. The CLOSEST you could come is the big drop at rhe end but again, minimum height requirement of 46 inches tall to ride, the angle of the drop and the speed at which you go it is physically impossible to get βlaunchedβ.
I feel like this is obvious but theres so much obviously wrong about the second addition i suppose i need to state this.
SUPERMAN. ISNT. DISNEY. Superman is DC. The only theme parks that have licenced DC character based rides is six flags.
Six flags, another park that HAS MINIMUM HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS for rides.
That has restraints on rides in which are necesary. Which again, YOU CANNOT RIDE IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE SAFETY GUILDLINES.
Go try to shitpost and ruin the reputation of a differint park, will you? At least make sure your story is even plausable before you open your mis-informed mouth.
@crabwalkerβ Are you seriously explaining to me how Splash Mountain works? Do you think I donβt remember how my son died? Oh, and itβs βphysically impossible to get launched?β Guess what, asshole? My SON got launched. This is the last photo we have of him.
Youβve said some cruel things to me, but Iβm going to be the bigger person. Iβll be praying, for your sake, that nobody in your family ever gets launched.
That photo is based off of a meme of this lady looking pissed. That and I canβt find an incident based off of what you posted. Shut the fuck up.
Why did you photoshop tanner out of that picture?

How do Marckus and Kitten sleep? Like with how big Marckus is, I can only imagine Kitten having to fight for his life to have any space on the bed at night.

Under Virginia law, a month had to elapse before the death sentence could be carried out. Governor Wise resisted pressures to move up the execution date because, he said, he wanted everyone to see that Brown's rights had been thoroughly respected.
Brown made it clear repeatedly in his letters and conversations that these were the happiest days of his life. He would be publicly murdered, as he put it, but he was an old man and, he said, near death anyway. Brown was politically shrewd and realized his execution would strike a massive blow against Slave Power, a greater blow than he had made so far or had prospects of making otherwise. His death now had a purpose. In the meantime, the death sentence allowed him to publicize his anti-slavery views through the reporters constantly present in Charles Town, and through his voluminous correspondence.
Before his conviction, reporters were not allowed access to Brown, as the judge and Andrew Hunter feared that his statements, if quickly published, would exacerbate tensions, especially among the enslaved. This was much to Brown's frustration, as he stated that he wanted to make a full statement of his motives and intentions through the press.[54]:β212β Once he had been convicted, the restriction was lifted, and, glad for the publicity, he talked with reporters and anyone else who wanted to see him, except pro-slavery clergy.[46]
Brown received more letters than he ever had in his life. He wrote replies constantly, hundreds of eloquent letters, often published in newspapers,[133]:β43β and expressed regret that he could not answer every one of the hundreds more he received. His words exuded spirituality and conviction. Letters picked up by the Northern press won him more supporters in the North while infuriating many white people in the South.
KING
Just a couple of the quotes about him that I like:
βHis zeal in the cause of freedom was infinitely superior to mine. Mine was as the taper light, his was as the burning sun. Mine was bounded by time. His stretched away to the silent shores of eternity. I could speak for the slave. John Brown could fight for the slave. I could live for the slave. John Brown could die for the slave.β
-Frederick Douglass
"That new saint, than whom nothing purer or more brave was ever led by into conflict and death, β the new saint awaiting his martyrdom, and who, if he shall suffer, will make the gallows glorious like the cross."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
[Image Description: initial tweet by Haymarket Books, at HaymarketBooks. It is dated May 9, Twenty twenty-three. It says "Abolitionist John Brown was born May 9, Eighteen hundred." Beneath the tweet is a grayscale portrait of John Brown, an elderly white man with a long, bushy beard. In reply, Edward Ongweso Jr, @ BigBlackJacobin, tweets "Happy birthday to this crazy ass white boy. One day we are gonna go back in time and give him power armor." End I.D.]
"My name is Captain John Brown! And I hereby, order, you, to, git! Git in his holy name! For he is on the side of justice and you are on the side of chains!"

Song Book from Aberdeen, Scotland dated to 1795 on display at the Gordon Highlanders Museum in Aberdeen, Scotland
This book was printed to sing praises to George Gordon, 5th Duke of Gordon and Marquis of Huntly for founding a new regiment, the 100th (Gordon Highlanders) Regiment of Foot. Set up in 1795, the few initial recruits came from Aberdeen, where the regiment held its first parade in June of the same year.
The regiment was established in response to the French Revolution and growing political unrest as monarchies were threatened by people demanding equal rights, representation and access to food. The British nobility funded regiments like this as well as miltias to enforce their authority at home while the army fought in France.

Spear Heads from Funen, Denmark dated to the 3rd Century CE on display at the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen, Denmark
These Roman style spear heads feature decorations of inlaid patterns of silver or brass which can cause the weapon to become less effective. However, it suggests they were used as idicators of rank or status and perhaps belonged to officers in the Roman army. It is thought that some officers carried spears while on administrative duties signifying their importance. Danish aristocrats often fought in the Roman army as auxiliaries and brought their weapons back to be left as votive offerings in Denmark.
