1. You lay your eyes on her for the first time and the entire world falls away as your stomach flips and the air escapes from your lungs and crawls out of your throat in the form of an “oh my god” 2. You feel the way her body fits so nicely into yours and you realize that the comfort you used to feel in bed alone can never compare to the feeling of your arm falling asleep underneath her head 3. The way her body moves against yours could make the most devout Christian want to sin. But even with that desire to sin, you find yourself looking at every freckle, mark, and scar on her body trying desperately to remember every inch of her body. 4. Her laugh is your favorite sound and that smile is your favorite sight. Her skin is your favorite feel and her shampoo becomes your favorite smell. Everything that you knew and everything that you loved is replaced with her, because now you know her mind and body, and oh fuck you love her so much. 5. You say goodbye, but this time it isn’t by hanging up the phone. You say goodbye by hugging her with no clue how long it’ll be until you hug her again. You say goodbye by grabbing your bags and walking away. When you met her the world fell away, but now it comes crashing back as you walk through the doors and look at her for the last time before flying 1,547 miles back home. 6. You get home and you feel like a stranger. It’s as if you were just split in half and as if home now isn’t here, but it’s with her and comfort isn’t laying in bed, it’s laying in her arms. You feel no familiarity with the people you live with and you’re constantly cold because nothing makes you feel warm except her voice and the way her lips feel against your temple. You get home and find yourself breaking down on the bathroom floor crying out to go home because you should have kissed her longer and hugged her tighter. 7. She calls you that night and finds a way to calm you down. Her voice is still your favorite sound and her smile is still your favorite sight. You take a deep breath because you know you’ll see her again because you know that it didn’t happen by chance or accident. You are hers and you will be with her again. And when you do, your entire world will fall away as you slip into the most divine bliss.
