I just made some BULLSHIT.

dennis is in their relationship for months now and hasn't paid a single ass thing to the brownstone/utilities/bills despite living there already so he thinks this should be fun.

(plus trinity told him to do it for fun so might as well)

it starts off innocent, they're in the living room. dennis is watching some sitcom, jack is browsing through the new edition of the journal of emergency medicine and robby's answering emails in his laptop.

dennis clears his throat, "you know, i can't help pay the mortgage this month"

robby and jack on cue look at him and dennis successfully holds his expression as if he's serious. dennis continues to watch the sitcom nonchalantly while jack and robby tilt their heads in confusion.

jack clears his throat, "honey, you know you haven't paid a single thing for this house for months now"

"and you don't pay the mortgage. jack and i pay the mortgage," robby adds before turning his attention back to his laptop and dennis shrugs

that was fast, dennis thinks to himself so he tries to take it a step further. "by the way, i also have some money saved up so i can contribute to the bills instead"

jack closes his laptop in confusion and turns to look at dennis. dennis tilts his head as if confused.

"den, we pay the bills. you're paying for nothing," jack clarifies. "you just stay there, be pretty while we pay for everything else."

"and no, you're also not paying for groceries by the way. we pay for that," robby pipes up, not taking his eyes off his laptop for a second.

dennis licks his lips, "but what if i--"

"no," both jack and robby said in unison.

"this discussion is over. you're not paying for anything," jack sternly says before opening up his laptop again to browse through the journal again.

an hour later, dennis hums as he scrolls through his phone and speaks, "i kinda want a new lingerie."

robby and jack scramble through their wallets immediately as soon as those words left his mouth and show him their cards, "take your pick."

Then Princess and Perlah tell him he’s so sweet for helping her throughout the day. Now his nickname has evolved to sweet berry

And then the berry gets dropped

Now, everyone in the ER calls him sweets or sweetie, and Robby even slipped up and called him sweetheart once, which made Dennis blush for the entire day

Robby coins the nickname, and everyone gets glared at enough times to not call Dennis sweetheart unless they want to face Robby’s wrath

It devolves to the point where each floor knows that his nickname is sweet, and some even think his actual name is sweetie or sweetums or something along those lines

This just came to me as I was about to post this lmao

For night shift, the few times when he needs to work night shift, the nickname bloodhound gets shortened to hound

Which is just dog, so John calls him his dawg, and it’s hilarious, so Walsh also calls him that

And it quickly devolves much faster than the day shift into Jack calling him pup or puppy without a second thought

He’s the only one who does that, though; no one else even thinks about going that far
