Hamas got nothing from him. He had no information. He had no connection. They attempted to ransom him and his family was too poor to pay the ransom (and the Israeli government wouldn't let them pay to get Avera back regardless, because it incentivizes such kidnappings). They held him anyway.

Palestine is an ethnostate. Period. Everyone in power, every single person, is Arab. There are some minorities still living in the West Bank but they can't hold government offices. It's illegal to sell land to Jews, publishable by death.
