What are the turtles opinions on everybody in Bikini Bottom?
This is gonna be LONG, so buckle up.
🧽: Loves him like an older brother and also sees him as a mother figure in some ways. They love hanging out with him and learning about Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob is one of the few people Mikey opens up to in a genuine way.
⭐️: Also like an older brother. Patrick and Mikey get along very well and have a very sibling-like relationship. Mikey especially looks up to him because they have a lot in common, and Pat helps him realize that the parts Mikey feels insecure about (its weight and mental disorders) aren’t anything to be ashamed of.
🐙: He loves teasing Squidward and tries to annoy him as much as possible at first. Over time they become more chill (namely Squidward with him) but they still have their little rocky moments. Squidward however won’t admit this, but Mikey’s puppy eyes are VERY effective on him.
🦀: Mr. Krabs is like a second father to Mikey and it shows. Mikey loves helping him out around the Krusty Krab, and also REALLY loves listening to his old stories from his pirate days. When he’s scared and S&P aren’t there, they’ll usually hide behind Mr. Krabs instead.
🐳: It doesn’t hang out with Pearl a lot, but he loves hearing more about high school from her and doing things like paint their nails and try on clothes when it’s with her. Pearl thinks he’s adorable and loves it too.
🐿️: To Mikey, Sandy’s like an older, even better fighter version of Donnie, so he thinks everything she does is cool. Whenever she and Donnie are doing something at the TreeDome, they always want to join in- even if it’s more likely something will blow up. Mikey also really likes how she’s a bit of a party gal with hoedowns.
🦠: Plankton scares him at first. Whenever that little green guy is around, Mikey never knows whether he’s on their side or trying to hurt them. It wishes he’d be on their side permanently so they can all be friends, but for now, they’re enemies/reluctant coworkers.
💻: Karen is a different story. He sees her as an aunt figure and loves hanging out with her a lot more than her husband. Karen likes making cookies for the turtles and more often than not, Mikey’s the first to get one. :)
🐡: He doesn’t hang out a lot with Mrs. Puff, but he has fun when he does. She’s very understanding of his ADHD issues and other problems, and she even has books that are much easier for him to read when he’s bored. Mikey likes helping her clean up her classroom some nights when both he and SpongeBob are there, too.
🦞: Larry’s a cool guy in their eyes. They both love beach parties, and loud music, so they vibe well. However, since Larry keeps a lot of details about him and his past under lock and key, they don’t have much of a bond until it’s revealed why. Then they become closer friends.
🧽: At first they though he was really immature and wondered why he’d ever be considered for a ‘hero’ role, but after a few trauma dumps and heart-to-hearts, Leo and SpongeBob become close friends and hang out the most after him and Mikey.
⭐️: Very similar to SpongeBob lol. Leo started out underestimating him, but they became a lot more closer after a bit. There are times Leo gets a tad frustrated with him, but other than that, they’re chill.
🐙: They get along very well. Leo has the most respect and obedience amongst all the turtles, so Squidward finds them more pleasant to be around. Leo likes how dignified he is and appreciates his affinity with art and music. Sometimes when Leo needs a break they’ll visit Squidward, and as long as it’s just them, he doesn’t mind.
🦀: Parental figure? Leo already latched on when there was another warrior adult to impress. They’re a bit of a brown-noser and at first Mr. Krabs assumed that as well, but the more they got to know each other, the more Leo trusted him to tell their worries to, and Krabs realized the kid just needed someone else besides their sensei to talk with. Especially after S3 & S4, the old pirate becomes pretty protective of them.
🐳: Besties!!! When Leo isn’t helping the Krusty Krew or checking out more of Bikini Bottom, they’re definitely shopping with Pearl or watching Space Heroes with her. They both love the show and they’ve never had a true friend like each other before, so needless to say, they’re best friends.
🐿️: Sandy and Leo have an aunt-nibling bond. Around late S2 they didn’t get along well due to a certain plot point, but after S3, they made up and now have a deep respect for each other. The TreeDome is Leo’s favorite place to make battle plans or just study for fun now, so usually before a fight they’ll be there, pacing the grass and thinking hard.
🦠: Leo doesn’t trust Plankton, and with good reason, but they understand a few things about why he is the way he is. Plankton seems to tolerate Leo a lot more than the other Turtles, so when Leo is stuck watching Plankton on a mission that’s the best-case scenario to make sun he doesn’t try anything funny. Plankton has tried before to take advantage of Leo’s adult-pleasing tendencies, but so far they’ve all failed lol.
💻: Leo likes Karen and trusts her a lot more, especially since whenever Plankton tries to blow them up or steal the mutagen in their blood, Karen isn’t that far behind with a poised sandal. Karen and Leo get along well, and they see her as a calming presence when she’s not with Plankton.
🐡: Leo admires Mrs. Puff and likes helping her out too. They don’t have many maternal people in their life, so they like seeing her as a motherly figure. The fact Mrs. Puff praised Leo on their driving skills when she first saw them drive certainly helped too, lmao. Leo was the fastest one to get a license from her, so often they’ll help around the school and act as an assistant, even if they can be a Teacher’s Pet.
🦞: Larry and them get along pretty well and like each other a fair amount. They don’t hang out often, but when Leo’s at the beach and no one they know is there, they’ll seek out Larry just so they don’t have an anxious breakdown. After his past is revealed, they still like hanging out, even if normally Leo would’ve felt a little betrayed, so good thing it happens later.
🧽: When he first met SpongeBob, he was a bit disappointed that THIS guy was one of Bikini Bottom’s most feared and powerful fighters. If anything, the dude seemed like a bigger version of Mikey, but the more he talked with him, the more respect he gained for SpongeBob. Eventually they get along good.
⭐️: Patrick and Raph get along surprisingly well. Sometimes the former teases the latter, but it’s never about his temper or other problems, so he appreciates that. He finds how strong Pat is to be really cool!
🐙: He and Squidward did NOT like each other at first, but learning they’re both artists helped a lot. They have a lot of ‘artist banter’ and back-and-forth still, but they hang out a lot more often than before.
🦀: Mr. Krabs is pretty much his second dad and it’s really obvious to everyone. They have a ton in common and when one’s seen in Bikini Bottom, the other isn’t far behind. Raph trusts him to talk about his actual issues when he feels unsure about telling Splinter, and Krabs sees a lot of himself in the kid, so he’s always glad to listen. They’re a pretty chaotic duo as well, so whenever they’re together an explosion or a missing large amount of money is likely inevitable.
🐳: He sees Pearl as the sister he never had, so he likes hanging out with her and chatting, even if he hates shopping, but Pearl always convinces him by promising to stop by the exercise shop or get art supplies for him. Later in the story, Raph and Pearl also become a bit of a gossip team, lol.
🐿️: A scientist who isn’t boring? Raph thinks she’s cool! Sometimes a little too much like Donnie, but she’s not like most scientists he’s met, so he likes sparring with her and talking about their fighting styles together. Sometimes they rib each other a little bit, but they’re still good friends.
🦠: They hate each other and it shows. Plankton often calls him “Krabs Junior” and it pisses Raph off- not because of the insult, but the fact that it’s spoken LIKE an insult. Raph would squash him every time they interact if he could.
💻: He likes Karen a lot and wonders constantly what she even sees in that guy.
🐡: He’d be really embarrassed to say this out loud, but that’s his Mom. :)
🦞: Larry’s awesome and Raph loves working out with him on Mussel Beach. He sees Larry as a cool older cousin and they get along great, although with the reveal of his past, it got a tad rocky. When they’re at the beach, Larry regularly makes sure Raph’s accepted in his gym buddies’ group, and Raph, even if he’s unaware of that, still enjoys it every time.
🧽: Donnie loves hanging out with SpongeBob and sees him as an older brother. She loves yapping to him about his most recent experiments, even if SpongeBob doesn’t necessarily understand all of what she’s saying. Even when Donnie is too tired to really do anything science-related, Sponge still likes hanging out with him and to Dee, that means a lot.
⭐️: Patrick and Donnie are surprisingly good friends. Same with Sponge, Pat likes listening to the kid talk, and Donnie is always impressed when he actually says something smart. At first Donnie wasn’t sure what to make of him, and even now she still isn’t, but they have fun either way.
🐙: She gets along with Squidward well, mostly, but it’s clear that they have a small rivalry. When push comes to shove, Squidward will be there for the Turtles, including Donnie. Since Squidward and Sandy are close friends however, that makes them get along more…at least when she’s in the room.
🦀: Besides Splinter, that’s her dad. Krabs may not know much about science, but he knows enough from Sandy to be supportive of the kid. But most of all whenever Donnie needs a break or a nap, the old crustacean doesn’t mind slipping him a free soda or plate of kelp fries. Donnie feels really nice every time she visits Bikini Bottom, and with the Krusty Krab, it’s truly become his comfort place, even with all the people and noise there.
🐳: Pearl’s good friends with April, so Donnie is sort of friends with her through that. They don’t hang out much, but I like to think Pearl bought Donnie his first skirt and dress and Donnie’s really grateful for that.
🐿️: Sandy’s pretty much a mother figure to Donnie, and they’re really close as a result. Almost every day Donnie can be found at the TreeDome, helping Sandy out with her latest invention and/or experiment. They’re very in sync and can finish each other’s sentences and theories, and Donnie can open up to Sandy about a lot of things he struggles with that Sandy can relate to. Overall, they’re two peas in a pod. :)
🦠: She and Plankton have MUCH more of a rivalry; possibly one I could do a funny skit with that involves Dr. Rockwell. Donnie constantly is irked at how little Plankton has ambition for except one thing, and Plankton is FURIOUS that a 15-year-old can build and invent just as well, if not better, than he can. However, when they have a similar, attainable goal, they can make a scarily good team.
💻: Karen is a marvel to Donnie. She’s fascinated by the motherly robot, and enjoys spending time with her whenever. He’s always in awe of how intricate and efficient her designs are, and she’s thought of how to rebuild MetalHead to be more like her more than once.
🐡: Donnie barely spends any time with Mrs. Puff, but finds her presence calming and pleasant. She loves visiting the school so he can see what it’s like, and even though she’d complete the lessons quickly, sometimes he wishes she could sign up, just to really feel like a normal kid.
🦞: Larry is a bit too loud and chaotic for Dee, but she and him can be a good team when the occasion calls. Larry is smarter than he lets on, so over the story as he shows that, I could see them interacting more.
