TELL Going to the bitty shop was thrilling, you had decent money from just getting paid, and the shop was just calling your name! Walking inside you saw different kinds of bitties all over the place.

You had gone in kind of blind so when one of the workers came and asked you what you were looking for, you gave her a shrug. She then led you around the place, showing off the bitties they had

“this one is a lamia bitty, mixed with a bird bitty, it’s one of the most popular bitties we have '' the lady said.

You had seen those bitties before, this one had beautiful purple scales with black feathers on the top half, black beak and golden blue eyes.

“And by the way”, the lady added

“these bitties, while very expensive, are perfect for people new to bitties! They are low maintenance meaning they don't require much attention at all and are perfectly fine to be left by themselves. They will eat anything which is the main reason they're so popular and don’t require much material thing’s either!” She finished with an enthusiastic tone

By all accounts this was the perfect bitty. Really for just anyone who was just looking to have one, but it wasn’t what you were looking for

“eh not too interested” You reply,

“that’s ok!” Was her immediate response

You were then led over to another section of the store. This time the lady showed two bitties to you, a regular wolf bitty with blackish gray fur, and an original spider bitty with no added features.

“I shouldn’t have started you off with the most expensive bitty, these are the most common bitties and are really cheap to own and again perfect for beginners! while yes wolf types do need more attention then lamia birds do, they also don’t require much material needs and will eat anything and are kinda dumb so you don’t have to feel bad for treating them like pets! While og spider bitties are just normal spiders but bigger and cuter but just only a bit more smarter, and they really only require what a normal pet spider would need just more enrichment.” The lady rambled on

and again you thought these bitties were really nice but you just didn’t have a feel for them

“sorry still not what I’m looking for” You say and

you hear the lady give an annoyed hum, you started feeling bad as she led you to another section when your eyes landed on something. In the corner of the section was a discarded box on the floor, the inside was covered in a soft fluffy material but that isn’t what caught your eye,

it was what was peeking out of the box. Inside poking out was a regular human bitty, he had tan skin with hair that was strung up in a space balls with a hooked nose. He was wearing what looked to be a white t-shirt and a red bandanna wrapped around his head, he was holding a tiny phone? (Weird) You thought but interesting

nonetheless, next to him was a regular skeleton bitty, he looked exactly like a normal human skeleton as far as you could tell except for the eyebrows , just a little more cartoony and for some reason no clothes… Maybe skeleton bitties didn’t need clothes?…

“Those two in the box, I want them” you say, already starting to walk to the box and picking it up.

“Those two. Really?” The lady asked, giving you a sorta judgmental look

“yes” you replied immediately the two in the box looked up at you curiously.

“Well ok..” the lady said with a huff

“but I do have to warn you that I have no advice to offer for those two, they just came in and nobody has had the chance to read up on what those two need” she said

that didn’t matter to you.., you were going to get them and bring them home

“that alright I can learn” you say to her before walking out of the section and into the main store where you saw the cash register.

The register was run by an older woman roughly mid 40s if you had to guess.

“Hello, how can I help you”,

“I would like to buy these two bitties” you say confidently,

the lady nods as you put the box on the counter (you thought you saw the human one hide his phone). She ringed them up and ouch.. that was going to hurt your pockets a bit but it was all worth it you thought as you walked out of the store.

While walking home you realized how impulsive this purchase was, and how you know nothing about how to care for these bitties, hell you didn’t even know if you could feed the skeleton one and fuck you forgot to buy clothes for him, but as you looked down at the two in the box and saw them sleeping comfortably, you knew you made the right choice. That bitty shop had been horrible and you’ll be sure to report them to authorities for negligence and improper management.

SHOW- As you walked inside the bitty shop, your eyes widened at the sight of everything. Just last Monday you had a payday and with a little extra cash you wanted to buy yourself a treat at first but then, as you walked by the bitty shop you couldn’t help but go in. Inside you saw lamia bitties, frog bitties with cat parts, a spider bitty with a zombie top and a whole lot more, as you were gacking at everything you didn't notice one of the people working there came behind you.

“Hi, what can I help you with? '' she asked with a chime.

You didn’t know you just walked in so you gave a shrug in response,

“that’s alright I can help with that” she said her eyes tightened as she spoke, she then led you to one of the sections of the store and there you saw a lamia bird bitty

one of the new types of bitties that had been trending all over social media. The one she pulled off to show you, it had deep dark purple scales that sparkled in the light, glossy black feathers with a shiny peak, and golden blue eyes that could piece the night itself.

“This is one of the new trendy lamia bird bitties we have, a nice cross between a boring old lamia and a bird bitty, again very trendy among buyers the lady spoke, “and these bitties, while very expensive, are perfect for people new to owning bitties! They are low maintenance, they don't require much attention at all and are perfectly fine to be left by themselves with no company”

She said, made sense why all of them seemed to be separated from each other, though everything inside the cages? If you called them that looked low quality even the food.

“They will eat anything, which is the main reason they're so popular! Because of the mix of the bird and lamia they are not picky at all! Hell you could feed them trash if you wanted, and don’t require much material thing’s either! Most bitties like nests, not these guys a box and s blanket will do them well!” She continued, speaking in a high pitched voice as she rambled about.

While yes these bitties did seem like a good pick for beginners, you didn’t feel a very strong connection with these guys,

“not exactly what I was looking fo-'',

“that’s ok!” The lady’s immediate response caught you a bit off guard but you couldn’t dwell on that as you were led to another section of the place

the lady pulled out two bittes this time which shocked you a bit. Both were rather common bittes, one was just a kinda big wolf bitty, kinda black fur that had gray in between the other was just a really big spider that looked oddly very cute? Cuter than a regular spider.

“I shouldn’t have started you off with the most expensive bitty that was rather rude of me, I shouldn’t expect everyone to be able to afford them” the lady started off (though kinda rude) you thought ,

“these are the most common bitty types for people new to owning bittes, and are really cheap to own and are again perfect for beginners! Since they are very affordable, and while yes wolf types do need more attention then lamia birds do since they need a connection with their owners, they also don’t require much material needs and will be fine with just about anything as well as will eat anything as well. They also are kinda stupid so you don’t have to feel bad for treating them like low class pets! While og spider bitties are just normal spiders but bigger and cuter but just only a bit more smarter, and they really only require what a normal pet spider would need just more enrichment.” The lady rambled on

And again while these two seemed cool, and you had a stronger feeling towards them than the lamia bitty, the feeling wasn’t very strong

“sorry but again this isn’t what I’m looking for” you said, you could hear the lady click her tongue and she gave a very drawn out hmm in response before leading you over to the next section, you were starting to feel bad for not having picked out a bitty already, but as she was rambling about another bitty something in the corner caught your eye

It was a regular box, the top was open and what little of the inside you could see was covered in a soft looking fluffy pink stuff. Poking out of the top was a regular human bitty watching something on a tiny phone? (Weird) you thought, you squinted your eyes to get a better look at him. He was wearing a red bandanna around his head with a white t-shirt, tan skin with a hooked nose, and his hair was also in space buns, though it was kinda short.

Next to him poking out was a skeleton bitty, this one didn’t look the popular ones you had heard of. This one looked just like a regular human skeleton bones a bit paler though and had what you thought looked like cartoony looking eyebrows, making him look pretty cartoony. Though for some reason he wasn’t wearing any clothes that you could see… maybe that was a mistake? You looked a bit closer and yup no clothes…

That’s probably normal for skeleton bittes right?,

“those two” you spoke interrupting the lady’s ramble you didn’t even hear as you then began walking over to the two.

Picking up the box and turning back towards the lady.

“Those two are you sure?” Her face becoming wrinkled as she scrunched up her nose at you.

“Yes” you instantly replied

“I want these two”

“ok then” the lady replied before speaking again.

“I have to warn you that those two are really new, so we couldn’t give you any information on them and can’t help with buying products or anything”,

“that’s ok I’ll learn” you replied again before walking away and heading back to the main area to check out.

The register was run by an older woman who looked to be in her forties.

“Hi there, how can I help you today” as she spoke, you gently placed the box on the counter,

“ I would like these two bites” you say. The lady gives you a little nod as she rings up the two and 125 dollars (wow) you think as you grab cash out of your wallet to pay. (Worth it) you thought as you walked out the store, on you way home you thought about how you might care for them you didn’t have much food at home at the minute, you weren’t sure if you had even any spare blankets to get them and fuck you forgot to buy the skeleton some clothes.
