The reason of why a lot of people didn't fall for the Gooseworx drama or whatever you want to call it is because a lot of us have seen this happening before: With Steven Universe, with She-ra 2018, with Amphibia, with The Owl House, etc.

It isn't new to us. We have played this little game before and we saw a lot of stuff coming from miles away. You aren't being brave, enlightened nor special for being ¨critical¨ of the queer animated show that suddenly became popular to hate. You are just repeating a fandom circle that happens every around two years and people move on to the next big thing and repeat it like nothing ever happened, never learning from it.

I have seen a few times people glazing Pretty Please I Don't Want to be a Magical Girl against TADC, like don't be silly, we all know that you are very likely going to repeat the same thing with that show's creator the moment she messes up or you find something you don't like about the show.
