One thing you should know about Brandi is she believes in covers as a tool of cultural identity and communication. all branches & roots are made of metal wire + hot glue, which makes them poseable and also keeps them from snapping.
"Shriveled Saguaro" mixed media quilt wall hanging
I drive by this saguaro regularly and have watched it decompose over the years. I took this photo with my Fuji DL-300 film camera and got it printed on fabric. I quilted on it with my domestic sewing machine. It was my first time making artwork like this and I am excited to explore it more!
