Anyone interested in a dark re-imagine Fallout 3 long fic? I also made a lore accurate scale map! (Had to make a bunch of changes to have it all makes sense and it's still a work in progress! The metros, man! Absolute madness!)

The hubris of the Old World made the Earth unforgiving wasteland, nature of course, adapted. It might have not always been a natural evolution, but it was a necessary one, and now they thrive in the new irradiated climates. Humans, meanwhile, still cling to the past and in turn their adaptation has been a snail crawl in comparison. Even though some where ghoulified, and others turned into mutants, these are evolutionary dead ends for the species. But life, as they say, finds a way and the next stage of humanity takes its first breath despite the odds.  Follow Adam Solehouse, the first of these new humans, as he wanders through the world he was designed for. Despite being stunted by his development in the Vault, he’s determined to overcome the challenges of the wasteland, unfortunately it’s the darkest parts of humanity that threaten to break him. OR A full reimagine of Fallout starting with Fallout 3 and the Lone Wanderer. Every protagonist had always been a force of nature, now we get a clue as to why. Follow this unique retelling where the Lone Wanderer has the capabilities surpassing human expectations, but with the catch that his Luck is set to 0. If he’s not careful, he could be caught in the whims of those Luckier then he.

My take on the Male Lone Wanderer and the Fallout franchise as a whole, I'm going far more in-depth on the world building of the Capital Wasteland and the society around it. I've also completely rewritten the Vault and ramped up the Overseer's tyrannical tendencies to ten!

If you like AUs where they turn the canon on its head and you get to see what aspects still rhyme with the original then boy you'll have a fun time with this! Especially if you like the mystery aspect of trying to connect the dot of changes that are present but haven't been pointed out yet.

There are some ships but its by no means a focus. This is no romance, and all those instances are either background or simply a side plot for the sake of character relationship developments. At it's core its a Gen fic that features some romance.

Oh, and angst, there so much angst. Especially in the first book. I wanted to shine a light on the dark aspects of the Fallout world that are brushed over in canon. Poor guy goes through it. But no worries! I always write stories that end off better then when they started... even if it's slow getting there.

Writing it had me in tears ;~; so happy to know I could share that feeling!!! By far my most favorite fan fic. I always end up going back to it.

I know this one has been AUed disproportionately to the others but I don’t think it’s been to it’s full potential yet. Like one thing Ive noticed is that there’s rarely a fallen human that’s over the age of young adult. AND most humans that fall in have zero LVs. So I had a thought.

As the soul of justice what if our dear cowboy was a bounty hunter?

He didn’t do it for the money or fame but instead targeted the bounties that no one else wanted because the outlaw was too dangerous to go after. But this man had a mission. Maybe due to his backstory or he has an unwavering sense of justice he spent his life hunting the scum of the earth during an era where the wicked had an easy time escaping from their punishment.

Unfortunately, this caused him to have a high Level of Violence as he accumulated execution points. But where as a heart of determination has it’s own specialty ability of controlling TIME ITSELF... perhaps the other human souls had their own extraordinary abilities.

Maybe a heart of Justice was immune to losing their humanity as they gained execution points? If LV is capped at 20 maybe they are able to continue past the cap indefinitely. Though, of course they can’t just kill anyone. That wouldn't make them a Soul of Justice. No they can only strike those who truly deserve it. And in a place like the underground that makes their abilities fairly useless as no monster down there deserves the punishment of death.

But then of course MC being the do gooder gremlin that they are spends their time fighting terrorist and saving someone’s missing pet as a hobby return the next day like: “you had problem? I fix!”

Those poor townsfolk can only just stare at MC like: “Thanks?”
