Having and using savewords isn't failure! It's like installing an emergency break in busses and trains, you'll likely never use it but who knows what's to come? And ik case needed, you'll be happy to have one. Not talking through what happened afterwards and adapting to it is failure, but not having a saveword.

I'm not visibly alt/queer cuz it's cool or smth. I'm visibly alt/queer so young alt/queer kids know I'm save to be with and that it's possible to grow up as themselves.

Kids really don't care about you being trans at all. They'll accept you going swimming with just tape, they'll call you your correct pronouns and name without questions. They will make blunt comments about your alternative appearance but hell they're kids and they'll even roll with that. It's that easy people.

I feel a special kind of hate towards people whose parents took them to therapy and/or got them diagnosed but it's less about the person and more about a deeply rooted jealousy that stems from being left to myself with that kinda stuff without any support and then being unable to get the needed treatment due to the things I'd need said therapy/diagnosis for.
