Poor little Robin, once full of love, light and gifts.  People took you for granted taking more and more from you. You gave all you could and more, and they took and they took. You asked them for help but they didn’t listen. You still gave them your all your light and gifts. And now you’re Robin Hollow, no longer full of light.

You just wanted to be left alone, to eat in peace in your home, in your cave. It wasn’t your fault that children was the only thing that cured your appetite. In your peaceful little cave outside of the village, you kept to yourself. You never wanted to cause any pain to the villagers, but you needed to eat. The villagers never understood and drove you from your home, now you get your revenge with all the chaos you create.

A shapeshifting demon. Created by the Witch, Black Annis. Named by the children who hear you at night as the keys to their souls jangle against your bones. Your true form rarely seen, some say you’re a skeleton wearing a worn out suit and top hat. Your ribs seen through the holes and the keys swinging inside. You take whatever form you want, to get the child’s soul you want to devour.

A rough sketch of the character Mr Jangles. He’s one of my favourite characters to write about. I hope you’ll like the stories about him. I’ll be posting a few of them throughout the year

Editing time

Six Hills, a building surrounded by six hills, which is how it got it’s name. There’s nothing for miles around and yet the road to and from the building is always busy. You might wonder why and the answers you’re looking for are contained in the walls of Six Hills, for it holds some of the greatest and most gruesome specimens of the human race inside.

The ones who have been taken by the dark stand amongst the trees chanting for you to join them. Don’t listen. And don’t stare. Keep going.
