Alright I’m gunna be honest. I love me some classics (Hamlet & Crime and Punishment are my favs) but I thought Metamorphosis was stupid too. I’m sorry I honestly couldn’t get over him just waking up as a bug and not noticing at first but also everyone just accepting it kinda? I’m honestly with the reviewer it never made any sense to me and I don’t think anyone could explain it in a way that would make me think it isn’t stupid. Not every “classic” has to be your personal cup of tea and that doesn’t mean you’re bad!! A lot of people (myself included) find Tolkien long-winded with the descriptions, and some people love that shit. More power to ya.

I fly often enough and with a service dog that I got TSA precheck so I skip the general TSA line and in precheck we don’t have to take off our shoes or empty our bags and usually we just use the regular metal detector, all based on a clean background check and the assumption that someone planning an enormous crime wouldn’t be able to recruit people without prior charges. so not only what you said but also u can buy your way out of it which totally makes sense if the real concern is national security, yeah
