Shimizu Daichi

I can honestly say..

…I’ve never been so tired in my life. [she yawns, covering her mouth] …Ooh, sorry. Where are my manners?

∟ the fluorescent lighting in the store didn’t help the small headache that jenna felt coming, but she had already started her errands. wouldn’t it be a waste to go home with so much more to do? lithe fingers undid her tight ponytail, hoping it would give some relief until she could get her hands on some ibuprofen, and when her right hand came away from her hair, it twacked right against the other person in the aisle. “ oh gosh! i’m so sorry! i didn’t mean to- oh, i’m sorry. ” she sucked in a breath through her teeth. “ um. can i…? sorry. are you okay? ”

Meracuosly it was Daichi’s day off, but never really. The house was starting to look barren and while it was nice not cooking and living off of take-out, he knew him and his dad needed more than that. Besides that, he knew he also needed to get a few things for The Dot. The medicine cabinet needed band-aids and pain killers so he was in the isle same as Jenna. She was one of his favorites to be honest, but he favorited any of his barista’s that worked hard. He was about to say hi, when the hand came back and hit him. “Damn, I thought you actually liked me,” He joked as he rubbed his cheek a bit. “I’m good, are you okay?”

[Imogen is out walking her cat, Blitz, a black hairless cat who is dressed quite grunge-chic in a hoodie with ear holes through which the tops of Blitz’s ears can be seen. She’s holding Blitz in her arms and letting his leash hang as they walk. Imogen approaches your character and points to the item she’s holding in the arm carrying her cat.] Is this yours? My Blitz picked it up so I’m making him be honest and find the owner to return it. 

[Daichi was cleaning off the Patio furniture at The Dot, wiping down the tables and chairs and making sure it was swept when he feels Imogen tap his shoulder. Looking to her, his eyes furrowed at the hairless cat before seeing a watch in the other’s hand] No-- it’s not mine. [Turning back to his task at hand as he put the furniture back in place from where the customers re-arranged it.]

I literally just said that. [snorts]

[raises a brow, corner of her lips twitching, but doesn’t move, meeting his eye] That all the game you got?

Do you really want me to pull out my game when I can just show you want I can do. [He teased a bit tossing his cup into the trash next to him as he moved closer] I promise I’m way more considerate than the chicken shit that ran away. 

There’s still a few bites and I haven’t seen you make any move whatsoever to finish it in a couple minutes. Unless you like cold food. I shouldn’t be speaking though.

Assuming is a bad habit. [He eyed her a bit as he nodded some] I’m good, you can take it. 

Um, no. Almost, but not quite. Sorry, I should be done soon.

It’s fine, I just wanted to see if you need another. No need to apologize. 

Okay! Thank you. [Eve hands him the medicine and sets the rest of her stuff down to get back to work on her laptop]

No problem. [He left for a moment to take the pill and wash his hands before making Eve’s drink personally, coming back and sitting it down.] Are you okay?

Astrid had entered The Dot after the altercation occurred, but there was still tension in the air. She sensed that something was off, but couldn’t figure out what it was. Astrid furrowed her brows at the young manager, wondering what bug had crawled up his ass. “Uh, good afternoon to you too…” She waved politely to Shinichi, stating, “I’ll just take the usual.” French vanilla coffee and a chocolate chip muffin. That’s what she got almost every time she came to The Dot. She was there so often that most of the staff knew her order by heart. Sometimes she would change it up and get cold brew when she had an obscene number of papers to grade, but this wasn’t one of those days. 

Daichi stared at the Astrid with disdain. It was never wise to even be in the vicinity of him when he went off because every little thing annoyed him till he cooled down. Crossing his arms he licked his lips as he watched his father nod a bit. Pressing in a couple buttons for her order. “I forget-- do you get your chocolate chip muffin warmed?” Daichi huffed as he looked at his dad. He knew off the bat her order if it was the one she stuck too. The huff only caused Shinichi to glare. “I’m sorry about this,” Shinichi apologized, discounting her coffee as well. 

“Sorry for what? Can I not defend my staff form jerks like him? It’s a free country, right?” Daichi snapped. “He was rude and you gave him a free pass and he was so smug about it,” Daichi stated it seemed he could collect his thoughts a bit better as he stood there. “You put me in charge and I won’t have people coming in, conning us and yelling at my staff,” he ran his hand through his hair before shaking his head. He looked to Astrid. “Tell me. if you were at work and some guy hit on you and you turned him away kindly only to have him come back and yell at you saying you made his drink wrong cause his ego was damaged. Would you want your manager to protect you from that?” He stated, his mood had simmered a bit it seemed as he tried to relay exactly what happened moments prior. 

I’ve got… Pictures? Or I can assume you’d say black because that was my first choice and I was just looking for validation anyway.

Searching for validation over furniture-- [He laughed a bit and shook his head] Yeah black, it goes with everything.
