When it comes to hangovers, there so is.

Alex giggled, nudging Leo. “It’s cause he’s old! And he’s no fun.”

“Hey!” River playfully glared at Alex, rolling his eyes playfully when she giggled in response. He focused back on Leo, “Last time I checked, I do live in a house.” He titled his head, “So what’s Among Us then?”

Leo took a deep breath before explaining, “It’s a game where you’re on a space ship and one of your crewmates is an imposter. The imposter is a monster who tries to eat the crewmates, but they look like everyone else. ”

Astrid returned from her trip to the bathroom and approached her son and the two strangers. Leave it to Leo to talk to strangers when she specifically asked him not to. “What are you doing, monkey?” she asked, ruffling Leo’s hair. 

“Moooooom!” He groaned as his hair was messed up. “I’m telling this guy what Among Us is!”

*grins, crossing her arms* Aunt Heather walked herself into that one, it sounds like.

Alex checked, only gaining a long scratch along her arm from the fall. “I’m okay.” She noticed he had a game going on the Switch’s screen, her face lighting up when she saw it was Among Us. “Among us! You play too? I always play as the pink one!” 

River checked out Alex’s scratch, sighing in relief that it was a very minor injury. He’d never hear the end of it from his mom otherwise. Hearing both her and Leo, he cocked an eyebrow. “What’s Among Us?”

Leo nodded. “Yeah! I just got ejected though. I usually play as orange, but somebody took the orange color so I had to be yellow this round. Bleh.” Leo gasped dramatically at the older boy. “You don’t know Among Us? Do you live under a rock?!”

I … haven’t seen that in years, but let’s say yes?

Astrid: Okay, who showed you The Exorcist?

Leo: Aunt Heather.

Maid?

No, no, no. Dangerously good, remember?

Exactly! Like Casper, but about as opposite as you can get.

I stand corrected!  ‘92.

Like strawberry mojitos? They’re dangerous. Dangerously good.

Cross my heart! *considers this next bit, and nods her head, finger tapping her chin until Leo pipes up, and Chris looks down with a grin, offering her take, too* Something you don’t ever want to run into trouble with. 

Leo: But what is it?!

Hold on, you are?

Okay, but that burns. A lot.

River immediately hurried up seeing the boy on the floor, picking up his sister first before helping the boy up. “You okay, little dude?” He asked before side-eyeing his sister. “Alex, what do you say to someone you accidently hurt?” 

“I’m sorry.” Alex mumbled, looking down at the floor. “I didn’t mean to.”

“I’m okay,” he mumbled, looking over at his Switch to make sure it wasn’t broken. Fortunately, the console was unscratched. Unfortunately, however, someone had called an emergency meeting in the game to say that Leo was suspicious. With only five seconds left to vote, he would have to take the loss this round. “It’s okay. Are you okay? You fell over too.”
